With the whole universe being superior to the human race, mankind was forced down to
slavery. When no human stood a chance against alien species boosted with powerful mana,
super alien strength, and cruel skills, the Krishna of our story had to take birth.
(Kratons are an alien species who wield tremendous amounts of mana through which they execute influential magic like fire magic and water magic whereas humans have no mana at all. Kratons have regular biological characteristics identical to humans except for their purple skin.)
Sintan's decision left the whole Kraton colony into a shock, the whole colony started with the whispering just like chirping birds.
"He has lost it!"
"Wait for a few years, the king will teach him."
"This is giving such a wrong message to the young soldiers."
Sintan seemed not to be bothered by them, he had his own thoughts keeping him tied up, the presence of that ring made him careworm, he used to sit and have a look at his busted finger.
"Should I tell everyone about this ring?...."
He asked himself
"Nooo if I do that, I am sure everyone would assume that killing the child, and finding ways to destroy that ring would be the best. But if I want the Kraton empire to gain greater strength, I shall not disclose this matter. Not everyone has witnessed the powers of that ring, they won't understand. Even so, I have drawn more than enough attention by declaring about this child in the Kraton elder meeting. Ugh!! My head hurts, why this ring??? And on the top of that, who is this child? how is he having this ring, the same aura, the same energy."
Sintan clenched his fist
"Katrina!!!!!"
Sintan yelled, calling for his servant, who was a human.
Katrina entered Sintan's room, in an old rugged and worn-out skirt and a top. Her hands and legs had several cuts and bruises, which showed the sufferings she goes through, and a worrisome beautiful face.
"Y--- yes my lord.".
Said Katrina.
"Katrina, I have a job for you, not a job, but a duty which I am going to assign you, and this duty should be your priority from now on."
Said Sintan
"What is it, my lord?"
Asked Katrina, keeping her head low.
"Soldier get him in"
Said Sintan.
A soldier entered Sintan's room with Zenith in his hands. Katrina saw Zenith and was quite shocked.
"Now, understand this. From this moment your top priority is to take care of this child. Bathe him, change his clothes, feed him, clean his poops, basically I am ordering you to be a mother to him."
As soon as Katrina heard the word 'mother', her past flashed right before her eyes. Katrina once had a child of his own, a cute looking son, but his fate was not to live long, he died at a very young age due to improper nutrition.
"A mother you say my lord? I will perform my duty gladly. I thank you."
Said Katrina with a smile.
The soldier gave Zenith into Katrina's hands. Katrina had a fine look at him, his yellow eyes, brown hair, his soft and fair skin. She had a thought in her mind
"You remind me so much of my son."
She had a smile on her face but also a few tears dropping from her eyes.
"You may leave now, take good care of him. You can have a room of your own now. But remember that's just because he is with you, otherwise don't get your wings out."
Said Sintan.
Zenith was in good care with Katrina
She expressed the love of a mother towards Zenith, which she couldn't express to her own son. She would cuddle him, kiss him, talk to him, sing a lullaby for him, just like a mother would. She got attached to him in a matter of a few days, and so did Zenith to Katrina.
Zenith would feel uncomfortable with anyone else but Katrina and Sintan. When it came to Sintan, he is good with kids, (especially for a human kid) he acted as if he was his real grandfather.
Katrina found happiness in being a mother. While on the other hand, Sintan kept on studying the history, picking out the ancient books from the library, so that by any chance there would be some clues. He was totally into it. He was not gaining any foolproof valuable data but he was progressing slowly. Once he was in his room studying, just then Woodwill, an Kraton elder entered, he stared at Sintan and said
" You think that I wouldn't notice that very ring? "
Sintan answered
"I just didn't want to make any announcements before researching thoroughly."
" You could have told me, afterall we both were there at that time. Do you know what a huge risk it is to let that child be with that ring ? You know what can occur if you do this then---- "
"I know goddamnit … even I know about these human's past. The reason these humans never got up is that we never gave them an opportunity, we buried their gifts from the universe right into this earth, in front of their eyes and they were foolish enough to let that happen. We are not sure what can happen with that ring, understand Woodwil, there are negative possibilities but there are also the positive ones which shall give us great power. This boy is gonna be completely under my supervision once he grows up. Have faith."
"Calm down, I didn't say I won't cooperate. I am saying that I don't have full trust in your plan. What is it that you are planning? "
"I am looking for a way to have control over it, or at the very least, destroy it, so that it causes us no threats."
"Do you think that's possible?"
"Not sure. I tried touching that ring and this is what happened"
Sintan revealed his finger to Woodwill, as soon as he had a look at that finger, he sensed some kind of familiar aura which he had sensed before. He was terrified, it unlocked a memory in which an armoured human was stepping towards him holding a dead Kraton soldier in his hand. His heart skipped a beat and he started to sweat. With deep resentment he said
"CURSE HUMANS"
