Why am I the one who gets all the hard work? Me, Max King, the Rookie Criminal Profiler. It's only my first year and I've gotten so much work. Can't people just like not kill others? Just today, I have gone to three different murder sites. All looked as if they were chased down, got caught, then were ripped to shreds. We can barely identify the victim half the time. 

Jesse is mad at me for going to work. He has been blowing my phone up all day. I know I'll get in trouble as soon as I step foot into the house.

"King! We have another call." 

"Coming."

We arrived at the scene. Blood was splattered against every wall. It was horrendous. Whoever did this has no empathy at all. I had to walk away. I stepped into an alleyway trying to calm myself.

"Why hello there. Max, was it?"

I whip my head around. Why does he have to be here?

"Hello, Malikai." 

"Awww. Come on now. Don't act so mad at me." 

I was already against the wall and he told advantage of that. He walked up to me and rested both arms around my head while looking down at me. I was maybe 4 or 5 inches shorter then him.

"No need to act all shy now." 

I guess I was quiet for a while. I finally managed to bring myself to look him in the eyes.

"Why would I need to be shy around you of all people?"

Shit! Where has this confidence come from? 

"Sassy today, aren't we." 

"Malikai, what do you want. I have a job to do."

"Oh nothing much. I wanted to see that beautiful face of yours and this perfect body you have. Y'know, since were "soul mates". I think I should be able to see you when you walk away from a crime scene. Anyways, here's my number. Call me if you need anything dear."

Malikai proceeded to kiss me ever so softly on my cheek and walked away. My face flushes red and I just walk back to the murder to finish what I came here to do, analyze a crime scene.
