After the call ended, she looked down the stairs, the two people were looking everywhere, at some point they headed towards the stairs, Jess panicked and looked around her room, just then her closet door opened a bit, she heard the two coming up, so she quickly went into her closet, she looked thru the little crack that was on her closet, and saw the men come in:

“I can’t believe you hid all that stash here!”

“Oh, shut up already! This place was abandoned for years! How was I supposed to know it wasn’t anymore!”

“Ugh whatever! Where did you hide it?” The man rubbed his shin:

“One of the boards in this floor is removable”

“And you of course don’t remember which one it is, the second said as he rolled his eyes, let’s just look for it, the boss is already mad”

They both started knocking on the floor, as jess just sat there watching them, the first guy looked at the closet, he started to slowly approach it, jess started trembling, she looked for something to defend herself with, her leatherjacket was pretty heavy, maybe she should throw it at him, just then, she saw a bigger shadow behind the man, just as he was going to open the door, it pulled him back:

“What the . . .”

“Did you find it?” The second guy asked

“No, I . . .”

“Then keep looking you fool!”

The other guy just rubbed his neck and got back to looking, after a while one of them stopped:

“I found it!”

It was the same board that the phone was in, just as they took out a big bag with God knows what in it, the police sirens came on:

“Shit! The cops!”

the two man looked out the window as they both jumped, jess waited for a minute before leaving, she got down the stairs, two police cars were in front of the house, one of the two men was being, shoved, into one of the cars, when it left, jess went up to a cop:

“Um; hey I... I’m the one who called”

The man who seemed in his early thirties smiled widely as he answered:

“Oh hey! Thanks for calling in time! Are you okay?”

Jess was taken aback by how loud he is, she answered a bit lower:

“Yeah, I don’t think they knew I was there” the man rubbed his none existing beard and said:

“I see, well, in any case, we will need you to come down to the station and answer some questions, will that be all right”

“Yeah, I just gotta call my roommates first” the man smiled again showing all his teeth as he said:

“Sure, I’ll be in that car when you’re ready”

About an hour later, Jess got out of the police station to find Lia and Rebecca waiting for her, as soon as she got into the car she was bombarded with questions:

“Are you okay?”

“Did they hurt you?”

“Do you want to see a doctor?”

“Did they see you?”

“Are you okay?”

“Are you cold?”

“ARE YOU OKAY?”

“I’m fine!”

Lia looked back at her with a concerned face:

“Are you s...”

“Yes! I hid the entire time, and police got there really fast”

“Well, I guess they don’t get a lot of calls around here” Rebecca said

“that’s a good thing, it means it’s safe!” Lia said

“People literally just broke into our house”

“Guys please, shut up, we’ll talk about this when we get home”

“Okay. . .” Lia and Rebecca answered

“Oh, by the way, did you guys leave the door open when you left this morning”

“of course not!”
