Years have passed as Humany continued to live in the apartment their parents rented. They have grown faster than the average human looking to be around the age of adolecence and yet still carry an aloof air about them as they go outside and interact with the humans. The landlord and her wife was kind enough to take guardianship of Humany in order to let them stay without going into the adoption or foster programs. Humany refused at first since they didn't really understand humans at all and struggled to communicate like humans do. Humany's parents were able to upload information to teach Humany how to live in a world of humans but all they did was teach laws and societal concepts, not about empathy and emotions and how to react to someone's feelings. Humany at this point is a fledgeling on the same level as an embryo. Able to live somehow but not able to express his feelings or understand others. This plant child took some time to realize that maybe it was time to try exporing the human side of the world for once and for the first time asked the landlord: "Aunty.. I want to go to human school. I want to see other human childrens." Looking into her eyes and puckered their lower lip, Humany tried to imitate a whining puppy one of his neighbors let him play with.

 

"Veronica, since Humany wants to go, why not let them?" Anri happened to be in the kitchen sipping some tea as she overheard them talking on the nearby sofa. "Humany's only a little plant child, they need to interact with kids the same age for emotional development. Heck we can't provide all that for the child. We've homeschooled Humany for way too long!" Humany nods in agreement, "Aunties, I want to go to college and interact with humans around my age. I could probably get a scholarship at some nearby colleges. I'm interested in what humans call art and botany!" Veronica sighs with a deep breach and groans. She knows that she's being overprotective and decides on a condition Humany should fulfill before she agrees. Humany have always been independent from them and rarely relies on them for anything except for when they need to step in as guardians. This was one of the first requests Humany ever had. " Humany, baby, if you're really sure you want to do this, then before I let you apply to schools, I want you to make at least 5 long connections with humans outside and find one roomate to share the place with you. You should also find some work and take care of rent and utilities. If you can do this, then I have no objections. There is no time limit, take as long as you need. Human connections are somethihng you learn on your own through experience." Humany looks up at Veronica and his eyes widen with excitement,  lips curl into a funny smiles they experiences emotions. A feeling of excitement and gratitude washes over them and they laughs with glee for the first time. Grabbing Anri's hands and does some happy hops and laughs as Anri hops with them and eventually Veronica hugs them both. "I know you will do amazing, I always have high expectations for you, Humany."
