In a very wide room that seems like its isolated from the outside world,a man was weakly lying down on a hospital bed, beside it were advanced medical instruments and various hose or tubes connected to the patient.
It was already half a month since they were rescued and brought back to the Imperial star where the 1st fleet's headquarters are situated.
White was now slowly regaining his conciousness, but upon waking up he could also feel the throbbing of his head, alongside the feeling of being unable to move his body. He doesn't have any strength.
White was about to call for someone when he realized that his throat is extremely dry, unable to produce any sound.
Coincidentaly, the door slid open and revealed the commander, and with him were two to three doctors with a few nurses to assist. It was obvious that they really care for the life and death of this elite soldier.
Seeing his commander, White wanted to get up and asked various question but the senior officer just tapped his shoulder telling him to stay put first and let the doctors do their jobs.
The team of physicians then took their check-ups, making sure that everything is stable before reporting that White will have some difficulty moving after entering the vegetative state in thr past weeks. They then bid their goodbyes and left the room.
The commander then helped White to sit on his back, carefully helped him drink a small amount of water, and finally settled down.
"Commander, I-..." White wanted to ask but he was unsure of what to ask, what he did about abandoning his mission was a grave mistake, but most importantly, he was afraid to ask about Red.
The commander just heaved a deep breath, "After you have completely recovered, immediately report to the Imperial Palace, His Majesty and the Chief Commander are waiting for you."
After he said that the commander stood up and turned to left. White just clenched his fist, his face crestfallen.
However the commander abruptly stopped in his tracks and looked to White, "Don't worry, he's alive."
White, like lighting, shot his head towards the other person but found that he had already left. But his commander's words echoed through his mind and a burning hope was lit in his heart.

A few days later, White kept begging the doctors in charge of him to let him see Red but somehow he couldn't. He tried going out of his room to find Red, in an excuse of exercising his legs but they always answered him that the room is spacious enough to walk around, which is actually true.
The day of the summon is approaching, he's sure that he will be punished. He don't know what kind of punishment but he was sure that it could hinder him from seeing his beloved.
After failing for days, he was also starting to think that what the commander said to him was just empty words and Red had actually......died.
Every time he asked, they always dodged the subject, making him more doubtful.
With this line of thought, he couldn't help but think about those moments, the moments when Red chose to to protect him. He would then laugh mockingly at himself, what proud soldier, what elite of the elites, he couldn't even protect the person he loves.
Then what was the point in living, what is the point of having a second chance in life when the person he wants to spend it with might be gone now.
It hurts.
Its agonizing.
Its unbearable.

Meanwhile at the Imperial Palace, an important discussion is currently going.
The day that the mission team went back hom caused quite a commotion, whether it be inside the military or outside in the general public.
With Code 002 being a well-known soldier with that blessed face, he was famous among the younger generation, having a fanclub for himself.
Despite the team deciding to arrive secretly, info still got leaked and spread out of the whole star alliance and was knocking on the Empire's door for clarification.
In a circular table, all the important figures of the star empire were seated. From the King himself to his cabinet members, the chief commander of all fleets, and the the elders of each planetary countries.
"I propose for Code 002 to be eliminated from the ranks and strip him of his honor." The Cheif commander of the 7th fleet said. Despite the mishaps that the two, Code 015 and Code 057 made, at least they've made their goal to destroy Code 002's reputaion and strip him of his power.
What he didn't know was this was a trap set to him by the 1st fleet's cheif commander and the king.
They have known that someone was stirring up trouble inside the military ranks.but they couldn't just pinpoint someone without evidence and now that the chance came knocking on their doors. Of course they welcomed it with a face full of smiles.
After the mission team went back they didn't let the public.get the glimpse of Code 015, the news that circulated within the alliance was that Code 015 and Code 057 died while on the mission and that Code 002 was severely injured and is also dying.
Having his subordinates killed and their secret mission to get rid of Code 002 failing, the chief commander of the 7th fleet was obviously anxious to confirm whether the target died.
At that time, investigation and interrogation was also rolling. In the interrogation, the officers more or less knew what kind of man Code 015 is, ambitious.
Knowing this they tricked him that Code 002 have perished and he was likely to be the next elite powerhouse, but this won't happen if he get's involve in the King's wish to destroy the 7th fleet.
Code 015's heart was obviously full of excitement hearing that, now even doubting a thing or two. His thoughts was full of daydreaming about his future sf being the most renowned one.
It also helped that Code 015 happened to record one of their conversation. And that conversation was exactly the one where the Chief Commander of the seventh fleet made a deal with him.
With this solid evidence and also a witness, there's no way out for the enemy faction. Their downfall was eminent.
At that same day of discussion, the 7th fleet's Chieftain was instead the one stripped of his power and honor. His face full of horror as his hard work came crumbling down before his very own eyes.
Now that the hidden threat was gone, they have come back to settle the things about the mission.
