Nova Mesto, Town Center, Near City Walls 08:00 A.M

Today is new beginning for Joshua Folles. He just moved to Nova Mesto City after accepted as Nova Mesto Vanguard. He is preparing to go to report his first day at The City Walls. For the beginner Joshua, working as Vanguard makes him very excited. He decided to leaving earlier from the scheduled time after he arrived Nova Mesto City and rested because of fatigue last night. The place he stayed overnight is close to the City Walls. After he arrived and get in to the City Walls, he sees many bustling activities. For a moment he confused and lost, soon someone approached him.

"Are you lost?"

He turns and sees a Vanguard of the same age and Joshua introduced himself.

"Joshua. Joshua Folles! I was just assigned here last night. I come to report today, but seems like I come too early."

"Hi, you can call me Robb, not too early. I was ordered to help you know Nova Mesto City. Let's go"

"Nova Mesto City is pretty much safe. No dangerous things happen here, sometimes small fights happen on the Tavern because of drunkards. Nothing weird happens either since I'm on guard" Robb explained.

Robb takes Joshua to meet the other Vanguards and introduce him. He also not forgets to guide Joshua about the place that he has to guard in City Walls.

After guiding and telling Joshua about the job. Robb takes Joshua to the Town Center. Town Center looks very crowded compare to when Joshua just departed to City Walls. Many people walk and many people offering their goods. Faintly behind the busy Town Center looks the magnificent Cathedral building. Robb started to explain the tour of Nova Mesto to Joshua.

"Nova Mesto is religious city where is the center of St. Varos Church. North side of city is where the St. Varos Church activities is. So not surprisingly that the Great Cathedral and Sanctum are there. Have you ever heard that St. Varos Church has strong influence here?"

Joshua shook his head lightly "I just ever heard that Nova Mesto is part of St. Varos Church. I never heard that they are so powerful here."

"Yup, they are very powerful. Almost all governments are arranged by them."

Robb silent for a moment, and continue asking

"So then have you hear about Holy Maiden from St. Varos"

Joshua shook his head again "I just heard the name of St. Varos Church recently, it is said that the St. Varos miracle of healing is very famous."

"The miracle of healing is done by the Holy Maiden from St. Varos. But it is done very tighly closed and only some people can meet with her. It is said that Maiden can also save from dying breath and give longevity, no wonder that many old Nobles race to meet her."

"WOW she is so great? Have you ever seen her?" Joshua gasped

Joshua frowning "Are the Vanguards never assigned to guard her?"

Robb scratching his head "Never. Here is a bit different. We as Vanguard just need to keep the city safe like observing new arrivals, catch robbers, or intervening with drunkards. For St. Varos Church internal security, the have their own Temple Knight. And they…."

"DUK!"

Not yet finish explaining his word Robb was crash with some man in road because of the busy Town Center.

In front of Robb stand a man tall and with silver hair. Handsome face, short hair and with his beard makes him look dashing and charismatic.

"Hey you Vanguard...where are you walking at!!!" Snapped one of the guy behind the Man.

"You just hit our leader. It is very rude. State your name!"

The man who just crash with Robb, just glanced Robb coldly and said "Just a Vanguard, no need to waste time" Then he just goes.

His subordinates nodding "You're lucky Vanguard! Next time you will not be so lucky!" While he goes catch up with his leader.

Robb groaning trying to move his shoulder.

"Who is he?" Joshua asked

"He…he is the leader of St. Varos Church Temple Knights. Raul Lenzales the best Knight of St. Varos Church. He is known for his swordsmanship and he is undefeated in Nova Mesto…"

"He looks very strong..."

Robb nodding "He is very respected. His charisma and leadership make him be glorified by his subordinates, moreover High Priest of St. Varos very appreciate his existance then no wonder if he and his subordinate temple knights trusted to do all the St. Varos Church affairs front and behind the curtains.

Joshua glanced at Robb "Include guarding the Holy Maiden of St. Varos?"

Robb sighing "Hell yeah, they will never tell her identity even under death threat. Never mind that's not our business, we better not having any tie with them. They are cocky and always look us below them, just because they got their job directly from the St. Varos Church."

Robb looks thru his left "Ok where we go next? Hmm…maybe some fun parts in the west side of the city where the Tavern is? After our job done, I am going to treat you"

And almost all day, Robb gives tour to Joshua about Nova Mesto City.
