During a certain era, long long ago, in a small town at the edge of an inconspicuous Kingdom. In this small, insignificant town, the birth of a legend.

A man said to be blessed by the gods. His mother Elenoire Signe. She is a living legend, she holds the title of Great Sage, a title for grandmaster mages who compete each and every year. In other words, the best mage in the world. Elenoire did more than that, she guarded the title for 20 consecutive years.

It is already hard enough to guard the title for one year, it is almost always the same people competing, an entire year to devise new plans to counter and defeat the Great Sage. Each year you would have to show your trump cards, each year you need to search for new, stronger trump cards.

His father, less impressive, Aure Miller. Commander of the military of the Kingdom Teta. He specialized in martial arts and augmenting.

His name? James, James Signe Miller.

It was a plain, simple name, the absolute opposite of James himself though.

Since his birth, he inherited his mother’s talent and affinity with magic as well as his father’s skills and durable body. 

At the young age of 5, he was already far more intelligent than an adult, he was more proficient with magic than senior court mages. In a mere five years since his birth, he was called the Genius Mage, the Treasure of Teta, Descendant of the Gods.

When he reached the age of 10, he started to question everything, everything he laid his eyes on. He questioned the common sense in the world, he questioned the gods themselves. He questioned the laws, he questioned it all. He started his career as an adventurer, he had questioned the very world he lived in and sought the answers. The entire continent's attention was laser focused on his actions. Even the Pope started to speculate, instead of being a descendant of the gods, he was the incarnation of a god.

At the age of 11, he became the direct advisor of King Abold, the Kingdom of Teta made unparalleled achievements and ingenious reforms.

At the age of 12, he vanished. Leaving everyone behind. He set off to explore more of the world, he was bored.

This is the start of the grand saga, historians dubbed this as: the beginning of the birth of Deus.

James was bored, anything he wanted, he just needed to say the word. There was no fun in it, no struggle, pleasure in achieving things. Since his birth, he was already superior, and he could not appreciate it.

People sang praises, many Kings and Queens sought his advice, endless amounts of mages challenged him. It was more fun to go out and see the unknown, meet someone ‘powerful’. James felt caged, it felt wrong, sickening. But on the other hand, he couldn’t just leave Abold, the King of his birthplace. It has been a little over a year since he started serving Abold, the Kingdom of Teta underwent major political and economic reforms under James’ advice. Eventually however, he left.

He left without leaving a single trace, an original spell, True Phantom, which he developed, and Long range Teleportation.

Both are on the level of Grand Magic. Teleportation is a spatial magic, allowing you to instantly move to a designated location, Flicker, is a similar spell, less difficult, shorter range and gives a small flash. Long range Teleportation on the other hand, is one of the most difficult and time consuming spatial magic spells in existence. An average casting time of ten minutes, several millions of nodes and runes. Even a genius mathematician would have problems deciphering the spell model.

This spell was cast by James as if it was a basic magic spell, instant casting. Of course, this does not mean he would be untrackable, since a mage who specializes with spatial magic would easily read the traces on the dimension fabric and deduce where the location is. This is not enough to be called ‘vanished from the world’.

That is where James’ original magic True Phantom comes in, unlike conventional magic, which uses circular circuits to ‘load’ mana with information, or use magic arrays of runes to save a spell for later use. True Phantom is just a single line of ancient runes. With it, all traces of yourself are wiped clean. Mana detection and Life detection are useless against it.

This was when he was 12, he roamed around the entire world, crossing the continents multiple times for a year.

During this time, the entire world was thrown into chaos, the absence of the Genius Mage, a pillar of the Teta Kingdom, as well as a deterrent to other continents if they dared to attack, caused the destruction and salvation of many.

The person in question however, cut off all contact with other intelligent lifeforms. He appreciated nature as it was.

At the age of 13, he would return, it would still take more than a thousand years before James becomes the entity known as Deus, but many consider that the beginning of Deus was when he was 12-13 years old.

He established his worth at the age of 12, then during the time frame of one year, he learned sentiments, and returned at the age of 13 to shock the world.
