Part 3: A girl named...
In the Year 1214 of the pontentate calendar, the good lord, lieutenant colonel who commanded the battalion "Hunters of evil" advanced between the border of the domain of the savannah and the domain of the waterfalls. Both domains, on the northeast side of the Great South Island, swore allegiance to the "Holy Kingdom of Granheim." That Lieutenant Colonel was a promising young man from the kingdom. He, although young, had come there to pacify a revolt in the dominion of the northern savannas with his recently obtained position.
The revolt, which was actually a general rebellion, had started in the small port town of "Baldovina", where many bored pagans of the regime of the potentates rebelled against the taxes. This port was under a high tax regime to favor the docking of ships on the west side of the island, specifically in the port city of "Bayport", which was the second most important city for the Holy Kingdom. It must be borne in mind that the east of the great island has steep coasts with multiple ravines and ravines that make it difficult for important ports to exist, with only "Baldovina" being the only competition from "Bayport" to the North-west.
"Baldovina" is located on the coasts where start the "northern savannas" on the north-east side of the Great Island. Inside the Sabana, as the capital of the "Dominion of the savanna" is Baldovo. The lord of this population known as Manuhell Baldovo, gathered his different lords with 500 troops and expelled the few golden soldiers of the potentates who were in the territory. The news spread throughout the island: A Baldovo had expelled the dorados from their land, at the end of the year 1213.
Manuhell, although slightly of medium height, had a fairly robust build. Those months in the rebel ranks made him lose the desire to shave his beard or hair, which was quite long. The cinnamon color of his skin was typical of the pagan coastal areas that abounded in the east of the island. It is said that the pagan leader had been a student of the magical arts of his ancestors. It is said that he also studied the anatomy and nature with which Mr. Baldovo abandoned magical practices and advanced towards the domain of reason in vital energy.
*Manuhell Baldovo, Supreme commander of the pagan rebellion.
On the contrary, the 21-year-old lieutenant colonel came from one of the most powerful families in the entire Holy Kingdom. He had eyes as blue as the beaches of Bayport and the islands north of Granheim, his hair was golden as the sun, and the golden armor that protected his body was especially blessed by the High Prior of the kingdom. The horse he was riding was one of the fastest on the entire island, his sword was already becoming known as one of the most powerful of the second royal army and that is why he raised envy regarding its qualities and origin, as well as the admiration of many more.
As an increased sample of his worth and ability, the lieutenant colonel had subdued the leader of the rebellion, Manuhell Baldovo in 1214 and was taking him and another prisoner to account before the royal authorities.
-Make sure to make the prisoners drink water, I don't want to have to carry them until their execution before General Strong of the Second Royal Army, Prior Maester Balliard and the Governor of Holyfort.- Exclaimed the Lieutenant Colonel as he put his valuable horse to drink in a beautiful natural water source.
Holyfort, is the city that gives entrance to the Holy Kingdom of Granheim from the northeast. To get there, the lieutenant colonel must leave the "Domain of the savanna", cross the "Domain of the waterfalls" and finally the river of "Holy river".
"Walk on, obscene, lustful." Antiphas Porter, the second in command of the “Hunters of evil” battalion, shouted at his prisoner.
"To remove a drunk man from his bed and separate him from the delight of his women should be a crime with capital punishment," answered Commander Manuhell Baldovo, the last living rebel chief of the northern plains, haughtily and half-naked.
-Stop barking and drink, the road is still long- Captain Antiphas Porter told his prisoner with a commanding voice.
The captain was 1 meter 90 centimeters tall and only rather cold brown eyes could be seen through the armor.
"They will learn to live and enjoy life when they stop seeing the evil one on each side," the rebel snapped. "I've fucked more women in one night than all of you in your entire life," He laughed jokingly.
This did not please the combat prior, Elohi Amber, the son of a prominent Holyfort merchant who traded the meats of animals brought in from all over the east of the Great South Island. That man had a fairly important contract with the importation of all that meat to sell to the troops of the Second Royal Army. So to raise the importance of his business, Elohí's father sent him to serve with the troops and obtain better contracts with both the church and the army. That situation kept Elohí Amber pissed off, to the point of exploding at the first provocation.
"Shut up, you fool!" The prior exclaimed through clenched teeth.
-You do not know the power of the sacred texts- Elohí continued, quoting a phrase from the scriptures - “For fine wine requires perfect vessels where to deposit the power of the Omnipotent Radiance, our God, beyond the four elements and the four Cardinal points".-
And it is that for the potentates, it is not seen well to have several sexual partners, as was the case of Manuhell Baldovo. Generally, believers married and lived with the same woman for the rest of their lives, at least in their public life. Although there were many born of the flesh or bastards who generally did not inherit surnames. The same thing happened with the mestizos born of the conquerors and the natives of the island.
Manuhell was not bothered by the prior's theistic reference and earlier downplayed it by saying that all he wanted was to drink a barrel of beer for himself. The prior simply shrugged his shoulders and told him that he must have thought about that before committing crimes and rebelling against the king.
Years ago, a beggar was brought before the ruler of a nation. They say that the beggar refused to revere the king. "Why do you insist on refusing to bow your head before our Lord? His captors ask him and he replies" It is preferable to die standing up and face the sun at sunset than to spend a lifetime biting the dust, because at less I will have enjoyed the sun, but I do not think you have enjoyed the dust.
As Antiphas Porter and the combat prior admonished Manuhell Baldovo, the lieutenant colonel approached a small waterfall. That waterfall was a little away from the troops. The young man watched the cool water fall over the small stream where the soldiers, horses, and prisoners drank. He marveled at how clean, clear and crystal clear it was.
The young potentate warrior tried to touch the water with his hands when he heard light footsteps in the water. As he sat up backwards, a girl of about 16 years of age was looking at him with eyes on the verge of tears and with a great desire to speak. The lieutenant colonel was briefly startled, but delighted with the young woman's exquisite features. Eyes of a beautiful golden color stood out, (perhaps the most beautiful eyes I had seen in all of Granheim), as well as slightly cinnamon skin and reddish hair, quite light that seemed pink in the light. She was finely dressed in linen and what seemed to be golden armor boots with a kind of rubies embedded as scales, those were precious and very valuable stones in these latitudes.
*Goethe Greyskies, Lieutenant colonel of the "Hunters of evil" battalion.
The golden commander asked the girl her name and why they met there.
"I'm Rouge," she answered confused. -I do not know where I am.
