‘Welcome to Hell?’
‘Hmmm, Well, there are so many people, I mean zombies here, maybe it is for some another individual.’ Sho thought.
‘How can I even get hell? Yeah. There's no way it is for me. Although I have confidence in my speech, I still need a majority for my mind to settle down.’ He thought.
‘Now that I notice, even though everything is still the same, I have a surface to walk on comfortably. Maybe it's like this because I crossed the gate. Not that it matters right now.’ He said.
Sho started looking around for a human-like zombie i.e, someone he could communicate with, more comfortably. He needed to hear from them about the voice and act accordingly.
A man was standing not too far from him.
‘His body was ... not injured? But how? I mean I know the reason about that girl but how is he like that?’ He thought.
‘No, wait. It's not that rare. There are many methods to die without getting injured.
Tch, stop getting deep inside everything and focus on the current situation. I have to remove this habit of mine or it will be troublesome in the future.
Wait, Do I even have a future after dying? Now that I think about it-
Noooo...
Stop thinking and focus on the current situation.’ Sho thought.
At last, he reached close to the man and called him out.
'Sir, do you have a moment?'
Sho thought that maybe he was also confused like him and was staying away from those zombies for safety.
"Hmm?"
'I wanted to talk to you, sir.'
"Ah right. I guess you are confused about your current situation."
'Oh, right...yeah......yes, I am really confused and wanted to consult from someone.'
‘He is quite good at the uptake. It's like he has already answered this question many times.’ Sho thought.
"No problem. Feel free to ask me anything."
‘All set. Now I can get a decent understanding of my current situation.’ He thought.
'I wanted to talk about the voice that echoed when we first entered the gate.'
"Oh, that voice. So you heard it too. I was getting quite desperate thinking I am the only one to hear it."
'So you heard it too. I think it was being told to a particular individual here and maybe he can feel it differently from us.'
"I don't think so, kid."
'Why?'
"Because I know the voice was for me."
'On what basis are you saying this?'
"Let me apologize to you first, kid. I already have talked to many other people out there and many of them have heard a different sound than me."
'But the sound clearly said Hell.'
"See, that's what I am talking about."
"To me, the voice said something like- Welcome to the Ground of Depravity."
"Sounds cool, right?"
‘Damn it, all these adults are the same. Acting all high and mighty in front of a child. And what the hell is 'Ground of Depravity'? No, the more important question is why did I get the stamp of hell?
.
.
Anyways, now I have a decent understanding of my current situation although it is quite unfavorable for me.’ Sho thought.
'All that is fine, but you could have told me that without all these extra terms.' He said.
Sho was feeling really angry at the fact that he wasted all his time for no reason when he could have just told him directly.
'How much more do you know about this place?'
He sighed.
"Kids, these days can't control their tempers, can they? I was just playing with you because I was getting bored of sitting and watching everyone passing by."
‘But why was he just sitting here? Let's leave it at that. I already have my mind in disarray and if I stay with him anymore, I don't know what will happen.’ He thought.
"No need to get so angry, kid. I gave you a little hint about this place too, so you can call it an equivalent exchange."
He started chuckling.
‘Why the heck is he applying all the rules of Earth here?’ He thought.
Sho glared at him hard to show him a little sarcasm.
'Thank you very much for the info.'
"Don't mention it."
He is still chuckling.
Sho started moving away from him towards the direction he gave him as a bonus.
'That oldie, if he ever meets me again-'
‘Huh? What?’
Sho stopped in the midway and noticed that his injuries were almost healed(including his clothes) and that a tag was stuck at his waist.
'Hmm What is it?'
'Ticket? Wait something is written on the other side too.'
'To hell? Ticket to hell.'
‘Oh, right. What was I expecting? I think I should move and see if it has any use in the future.’ He thought as he started moving.
After moving for approximately 1km,
'Oh, there are people here. I think they have been healed like me too.'
He was able to see more and more people with completely healed bodies(and clothes too).
With the increase in population, he was able to see some holes in the space. They were like black holes in the void.
'I think I should check it out.'
As he reached the nearest one to him, Sho was able to see more details.
There were many entrances like this on a regular interval with a note on top of each of them.
Do you think you can get away from hell? Of course not. We humans don't have that power and authority. But there is someone whose identity and authority both are a mystery. Although he was human like us, who knows what happened to him before and after that. But one thing is clear, hell is inside him but he is still avoiding it.
Tsurumi Sho is a 17-year-old second-year high school student. He was a struggling manga artist or a freelancer who was famous for writing the "worst of the worst" stories. One day, while working on his manga he was accidentally killed by a resident in the apartment who was trying to commit suicide.
When he came to, he was in the middle of nowhere, and in front of him was the gate with the heading-
“WELCOME TO HELL”.
