They crossed the market, watching many kinds of people. Tessa wandered in thoughts about her importance in the universe, that lead her to nothing very positive, yet she somehow found herself very calmed and hopeful.
As for Morgan, her mind was fighting to remain steady at the excess of stimulation, it was the first time she visited another place in space, so she was both terrified and excited.
- Where do you think we can find her? – Morgan asked, making clear use of the spell on her hand, something Tessa decided unconsciously to ignore. – I don’t know, we’ll just have to ask someone. A guard will get us caught, and I don’t trust the civilians, we need to plan a strategic approach to their leader – she said looking sideways feeling a slight but consistent pain in her gut.
- No city runs on its own, it’s true, I just hope we are not too late, or too early – either way it would be a pain, she thought.
There was an abstract and colorful building that appeared to be a skyscraper at the end of the market. It was clearly distinctive, because in the center could be seen from below the construction of a titanium head. - I don't know why, but I feel like this must be a good place to look – Morgan frowned at Tessa’s sarcasm. – I were the ruler of this weird planet I would totally live in a place like this, also look – she pointed to a wide entrance at the top of the building. – The ships come and go from that place; it has to be the bosses place -.
The jötunn sighed and made her way towards the main entrance, making sure there were only two guards at the front. But there was a change on her plan, a good turn of events.
- Look up, we are in the right time – well almost. Tessa hoped to see Thor in that ship, instead she saw Loki, which meant that her plan would only need a few weeks and two days to get in motion. In that exact moment she got an idea, it was risky, but there was no doubt it would work.
- Morgan, I’ll need you to lay low, I’m going in and…do something stupid in our favor – the brunette didn’t question her, she motioned in the contrary sense and disappeared between the crowd.
- Hello fellas~ – To say the least, Tessa had a great body. That has been an old-fashioned advantage over her regular adversaries, except for her cousin, but it wasn’t her strongest trick.
Vocalia, a spell that manifests in the air like a fog string, it travels down your throat and takes control of your heart and mind. It grants the owner complete control over one or many individuals as they desire.
- Take me to your leader, please? – the guards, already under her charm, moved aside and forward motioning their hands towards the aisle. – Let’s just hope this works – she muttered under her breath, walking behind them.
- Who is this? – Tessa let certain scales stand out on her cheeks, gave her skin an unusual pale hue, and her eyes were no longer green, instead her irises turned into two orbs with a resplendent golden glow. That caught the Grandmaster's attention.
She looked like a goddess.
- Merely a tourist, I guess you are the boss around here – he chucked with a tiny spark of malice, Tessa felt awkward and weird, but shook it off quickly. – What gave me off? – she looked around at the numerous guards, the angry looking woman at his left, making her point rather obvious.
- My name is Tessa Colins, sir, I come from a frigid excuse of a planet called Jötunheim, which is no longer my home – he seemed to sympathize with her statement. Her lying was almost natural, scary natural.
The grandmaster presented himself as the “ruler" of Sakaar, and the creator of a barbaric game called “The contest of Champions", where slaves fought his champion, but apparently, they just run to their deaths. He was like an unpredictable lunatic that just want to have fun and stop being alone.
- It’s impressive – she was deeply concerned about Morgan’s safety, but had to keep the act together, for her own sake.
- I know, right?, recently I have acquired a new contender, we are going to see if he is up to my beloved champion's…level, and I want you to be there – Tessa’s blood ran cold, she was internally panicking about a thought, “¿He can see through me?”.
- Violence isn’t exactly my area of expertise, sir – Trying to use Vocalia on him would alert Topaz, who was behind them looking rather suspiciously at Tessa.
- Oh, c'mon, I promise you’ll have fun – she ended up accepting his invite, although by the dirty looks he was giving her, it took all of her will power to not smash his face on that pretty chair/throne of his.

Meanwhile, the human did exactly the opposite of what Tessa advised her to do. She sneaked into the building, behind the guards, and followed Tessa through the hallways, until she lost her at the elevator.
- Fuck me! – she mumbled to herself, or at least she intended to, - Well, don’t mind if I do – Morgan quickly turned around, a woman with a black leathery outfit, and white lines that looked like chains on her face.
- Touch me, and I’ll roast you – she pulled the hand piece of her suit and aimed to the woman, which was a bit pointless, because in four moves or less she took down Morgan, pinning her body to the wall.
- Who are you? – the woman smiled and backed up a few steps, - Scrapper 142, and you? – she pointed a knife very close to her face, - Morgan – the human’s reaction to danger was by far inadequate, she didn’t even flinched, which impressed the asgardian.
- So, who are you following? – “filling her in all the details will sure break the future” she thought glancing at the elevator, - I thought that girl looked hot, but I’m just here for the event – thanks to the poster, and the clear fact that the Valkyrie was half drunk, Morgan was able to convince her.
- I have a ship, we can grab a few drinks and watch the contest from the best seats in the planet – “Is she flirting with me? Nah, is the alcohol” Morgan chucked and accepted her invite.
- I’ll see you tomorrow night then – Morgan walked away awkwardly, doing a very fucked up thing with her arms, like she was some kind of drunk duck with epilepsy having a stroke.
- Oh fuck – after she made sure she was alone, Morgan sighed leaning against the nearest wall. She glanced at her palm and touched the tattoo, - Jörmungandr – she whispered. She was kind of expecting to be a huge puff and Tessa would come out from between the smoke, like in an old magic movie. Instead, a portal opened, she got pulled by it and miserably fell into the arms of the jötunn before it closed.
- Sorry, I had to be quick – Tessa helped Morgan stand up correctly, it was very clear that something was different, - I-Wow, that’s a lot of skin – the grandmaster forced Tessa to wear an outfit made of lace and leather.
From the neck to the beginning of her bust it was uncovered, the fabric adapted to her curves perfectly but leaving room for the imagination, referring to her hips and the thin skirt that covered her thighs, but that had a transparent end, showing like this from her knees to her ankles.
On it, golden ornaments that united and wrapped the whole. More than royalty she looked like a sex slave, or a high-ranking concubine.
Tessa somehow felt pretty and sexy on it, although she was no ignorant about the whole reason why he gave that to her. He was, after all, a degenerate, but that was just an issue Tessa was going to take care of before she left.
He was going to present her at the event as an arm candy, which would put her in a very tight spot if her father saw her, for two obvious reasons:
1) Her self-esteem might actually kill itself
2) Time would break
And she wasn’t ready for neither of them.
- Question, what’s with the Princess Leia’s golden bikini rip off? – Morgan joked seductively, - Well, I like it, I might wear it for Halloween and say I’m an Egyptian goddess -.
- Whose room is this? – It was huge, with lots of bottles of liquor, a big bed by the window. – Ours – She seemed proud, - But only until we get this sorted out, so don’t get too – Morgan literally jumped into the puffy sheets of the bed, giggling and having probably the best time of her life. – Cozy? Too late, I’m definitely stealing this bed – Tessa chuckled and sat next to her, - Alien mattresses rules -.
- I forgot to ask, did you lay low and unnoticed? – as soon as she saw the guilt in Morgan’s eyes she knew, she fucked up. – What did you do? – Tessa wasn’t even upset, her tone was so calm and relaxed, like when your mother is about to give you the kick of your life as soon as you say the wrong thing.
- I might’ve made contact with your Valkyrie and got myself a date with her – It was that very prolongated “and”, that made Tessa’s “What!?” so loud and strong, it made the walls tremble. – I’m sorry, that wasn’t supposed to happen, care to elaborate? – It took a lot of restraint to reduce an astronomical level of stress into one simple petty sentence, but she managed…kind of.
- Good thing is that I found her, but yeah, she and I are going to the event tomorrow night – Tessa fell into the pillows, - Yeah well, my plan worked and I’m going with the Grandmaster, in this outfit, so we are both fucked - that word in that outfit made Tessa flinch, not in a good way, so she quickly changed it into a comfortable T-shirt and sweatpants.
- What should we do? – Morgan asked crawling up to lay her head on Tessa’s shoulder, - Play along and hope for the best? By the way, does this makes you uncomfortable? – she denied and let her stay on her shoulder, - Playing along will have to do for now, it would be suspicious if we don’t show up -.
- Yeah…Oh my fucking god, my mom is goin’ to kill me – Tessa laughed hard at her sudden desperation, - Don’t worry, we’ll be back in the exact second we left, I can’t believe it just hit you – without much thinking, and in the middle of their mocking, both girls tucked themselves under the sheets and got close, like it was natural.
- I think the falling into a wormhole took a lot of my mind – she set her head back on Tessa’s shoulder, - uh huh, I bet, uhm, is physical touch a thing in your family? It doesn’t bother me really, but it isn’t in mine -.
Morgan forgot, but not really.
How was she going to tell all the things she saw? The things she felt. To Morgan, hugging and having general physical contact was almost a natural thing for her, surely Pepper loved it, but not all people enjoy being touched all the time.
Tessa was actually a very talented actress, she definitely knew how to hide all her pain and put on a poker face that would fool even the most skilled lie detectorist.
Regardless, Tessa told her that she didn't like being touched, but let her do it anyways, a fact that had Morgan really concerned. She didn't know if she was doing it out of condescension, or it was a reason related to the screams she heard inside her mind.
- Nah, I just think you’re really huggable, and it stopped you from screaming last night – her blood froze after what she said, so she just surrendered to the human's affection.
She started lowering herself, always confirming her consent within her gaze, until she pressed her forehead to Morgan's stomach, gently. Her arms went around her waist and adjusted her body to be more comfortable. Both ended up at different heights of each other.
However, while the Jötunn was drifting off, Morgan thought about the incident with her hand, whose bruise had disappeared, and it was not at all strange, because it was Tessa's will that Morgan suffer no further damage, so she fixed it.
