This was too much for Sho.
‘It all seems so metaphorical. It's like I'm on the set of a sci-fi movie.’ He thought.
‘I mean how did they plan all these kinds of arrangements. When I was alive, I always wondered that what will happen to me after I died. I watched many videos on Noutube that were filled with fascinating and engaging concepts that can be possible. I wonder if all this scenery in front of me is also reflecting my inner thoughts through my point of view.’ Sho was having a pensive conversation with himself.
He didn’t know why but he was getting excited about reading the other ones too. In the end, he had to enter the hell's hole, so there was no harm in getting a little carried away.
He started walking straight. There were entrances on both sides (nothing above or below, by the way).
There were many names that he had read in the mangas or heard elsewhere, but also had many names unknown to him.
'Hmm? Isekai? So the future heroes enter from here.' He said.
'Silver city?'
‘The name feels like something related to angels. I wish I had something like 'heavenly hacking skills', then maybe I would have been able to enter my dream hole (hole --> entrance).’ He thought.
'Judgement hall? Now, this is new for me. It seems like a court for punishing sinners. Then why am I going to hell?' He said.
Sho thought that it would be better for him to stop questioning because everything he was looking at right now was probably something that a human mind couldn’t conceive. And it was possible that whatever theories he had in mind for this place were wrong or a really small part of something that was completely out of his reach.
'Rebirth, Time leap, Jade hall...Haaah I am getting tired.'
Sho knew that he was currently a soul but, still, his brain felt overloaded.
‘Maybe I can get a short nap here. It's not like anything can happen to me now.’ Sho thought as he went into a deep sleep.
~indistinct voice~
"Hey Sho, are you listening to me?"
‘Huh? A girls' voice? It seems familiar.’ He thought.
"Hey Sho, are you ignoring me?"
‘Rin-chan? How is she here? Wait, I am alive?’
"Don't step on her tails, you idiot."
'Ah, right. I am sorry.' He said.
Rin Watanabe. She was Sho’s neighbor, classmate, and close friend. He spent most of his time with her because she was different from other adults and always said what's on her mind without using all that sympathy spice. Also, she hated reading novels. But why was Sho here? According to his memories, he was taking a short nap-
‘Yeah, right. Quite a nice dream for someone going to hell. Then there's no harm in enjoying it.’ He thought.
"Sho, let's keep this cat together with the ones below the bridge. It will be easier for us to feed them there."
'Ok, then let me take care of her.' He said.
"No, you just stepped on her tails. Who knows what happens to her again if she is in your hands?"
'Now you are overthinking.'
He took the cat out of the box.
'I mean what can happen to-'
She jumped from his hands and started running away.
"Now who was acting carelessly? Go catch her before she gets hurt."
'Yeah...Yes...Right. Don't worry I will catch her.' Sho said.
And he started running behind the cat.
'What am I doing in my dream? I would have played something at the Pc cafe or done something memorable. How did I get stuck here?' He thought.
After running for about 5 minutes straight, he caught up to the cat.
‘Playing with the can, are we?’ He said in a low voice.
He slipped behind her and jumped to get her tail but she sensed him and threw a can at him.
'What the hell?'
She started running to the other side of the road.
'Just wait, you damn cat. I will give your side of food to the other cats.'
He ran towards her. He was too focused on the cat to notice anything else.
A truck with a full speed was coming, but he didn't notice it. And by the time he did, it was already in front of him and he was crushed.
‘Pathetic. I died in my dream after getting fucked up in real life.’ Sho thought.
'Arrrrggghhhhh,' Sho shouted as he woke up from his sleep suddenly.
‘What a great dream before going to hell. But why am I breathing so heavily? Maybe it's because of that nightmare. Well, I am already dead and going to hell. The real nightmare is yet to come.’ Sho thought.
Do you think you can get away from hell? Of course not. We humans don't have that power and authority. But there is someone whose identity and authority both are a mystery. Although he was human like us, who knows what happened to him before and after that. But one thing is clear, hell is inside him but he is still avoiding it.
Tsurumi Sho is a 17-year-old second-year high school student. He was a struggling manga artist or a freelancer who was famous for writing the "worst of the worst" stories. One day, while working on his manga he was accidentally killed by a resident in the apartment who was trying to commit suicide.
When he came to, he was in the middle of nowhere, and in front of him was the gate with the heading-
“WELCOME TO HELL”.
