Year 3002
Midohira, Daikidageda
“Hmm… It seems you are drained of energy, Aisa. Presenting, Redundancy V2.0!.” Prassaca said. “It is not about power, Aisa.” she said calmly. “It is about emotions… They are worthless, unless you know how to use them.”
A wicked smile started growing gradually on Prassaca’s face, as she glared into Aisa’s eyes.
“Hmm… I am getting emotional.” Prassaca whispered
Suddenly, they heard a deafening roar coming from a distance, loud enough for Prassaca to get distracted from playing her violin. She stared at the scene from a distance and noticed that Sayla had started to set Jinx free. Mujika had crawled out from the thin gap between the arms of Redundancy V1.0.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mujika looked upfront to spot the four men who had captivated her. They were standing steady on the ground, crouched slightly, glaring back at her. They started making a move, swiftly. A tall blonde man, closest to her, started sprinting. He was followed by two strongly built, dark skinned men and a contrastingly slender man.
“Four on one, eh?” Mujika muttered under her breath, as a thick cluster of quills appeared on her forearm. The influence of Redundancy V1.0 was still not allowing her to transform completely. She flipped her hair to hurl her dread forward and aimed her arm towards the blonde man. Mujika shot her first batch of quills, few of them piercing through the blonde man’s shoulder as he crashed onto the ground, paralyzed.
Mujika looked up as the two dark skinned men approached closer. They stopped right outside Mujika’s shooting range.
“Your shooting range is short, prick.” one of the dark skinned men said in an intimidating tone. He took a step forward, as a devilish smile grew on his face.
“Let me see how good you are at hand-to-hand combat with my kangaroo!” He leaped high in the air, transforming partially. His feet curled inwards and his calf muscles bulged. He tore apart the shirt that he was wearing exposing his highly toned body. He arched his back and curled his fingers to form a fist as he landed onto the ground, inches closer to Mujika. The peculiar angle in his legs allowed him to hop around in the area disrupting Mujika’s rhythm in defending herself from his punches. He used the natural abilities given to him by his kangaroo to land one jab after another. Mujika was finding it difficult to dodge him successfully.
“I will make you remember the next one!” The dark skinned man bent down and landed a nasty uppercut on Mujika’s jaw. She fell backwards, as excruciating waves of pain traversed from her jaw all the way up to the back of her neck. Two of her teeth dangled on the tips of her broken jaw. The dark skinned man walked closer to Mujika and started kicking her with his right foot. She tried scrambling on the ground, but was unable to keep up with the pace at which the kangaroo was kicking her, ferociously. Hastily, she darted backwards, stumbling her way back on her feet.
She closed her eyes and concentrated harder on her breathing pattern. “I need you.” she whispered. “I need you, Mui. I need you to take over. I cannot do this alone.”
She felt a heavy blow in the middle of her chest as she stumbled her way a few steps back. Mujika stopped moving. She crouched and looked at the dark skinned man in his eye. She flipped her hair to push her dread towards her back and opened her eyes slowly, as they started turning dark brown in color. She stretched her muscles, as scales started to grow on her face. The dark skinned man, who had transformed into a kangaroo charged towards Mujika, his arm pulled backwards to land a thumping blow on Mujika’s face. Right when he was about to smash his fist, Mujika bent forward, as a dense cluster of quills erected all over her head. She probed her head ahead and a thick cluster of quills appeared all around her head piercing through the kangaroo’s left eye, blinding him. He screamed, retracting backwards, trying to rub his face with his hands, in an attempt to ease his pain.
The second dark skinned man standing behind the kangaroo transformed into a lion letting out a loud roar. He started assailing towards Mujika, facing her head on..
“You think you can get me with just that?” she mocked, as the usual smirk grew on her face. The ground behind Mujika started rumbling in a rhythmic pattern.
“Die!” she announced and jumped in the air. Jinx, who had fully transformed into a rhinoceros appeared from behind Mujika tackling the lion head on. Mujika landed on the back of Jinx as he continued running towards the enemy tackling them in his way. Mujika, who had fully transformed into a porcupine by now, started shooting quills at her usual rate, trying to paralyze the three men they were up against. Jinx and Mujika continued their rumbling in tandem, sending their captivators flying around, as they stormed through the battle scene.
After running a short distance, Jinx stopped briefly and turned around to face the kangaroo and the lion upfront.
“On my cue!” whispered Jinx as he faked an upward jump making the lion leap towards him.
“NOW!” he yelled.
Mujika jumped off his back in the air.
“You are in my range now!” she smirked, shooting a series of quills right in the heart of the kangaroo. Paralyzed, the dark skinned man returned to his human form, lying on the ground, squirming. Mujika walked up close to him, with an evil smile on her face. She shot three quills on his face, killing him instantly.
Meanwhile, Jinx was locked head on with the lion. The lion attempted an ambition tackle towards Jinx, which he dodged easily. Jinx took off as fast as he could, ramming into the lion, vigorously, burying his horn into the lion’s heart, tearing its guts apart.
“Nice kill, Jinx!” yeeted Mujika.
The two dark skinned men lay dead on the ground, amidst the bloodspill. The tall blonde man was on the ground as well, paralyzed by Mujika’s venomous quills. Aisa seemed to be trapped under the dynamic musical spell cast by Prassaca, at a distance from the battle scene. Mujika looked around, to find the slender man who seemed to have disappeared from the area. She sat down on the ground, fondling her painful jaw, stretching her arms to relax herself a bit.The rain had stopped pouring down and the sun was casting its warm rays on the ground.
“We need to find him.” Mujika said, looking towards Jinx. They started searching for the slender man behind the bushes and trees in the vicinity. Meanwhile, Sayla had disabled Redundancy V1.0 which had imprisoned Jill and was helping her out.
“It was you again, eh?” Mujika snapped at Jill. “You have betrayed us once already, and we were fools to trust you.”
Sayla and Jinx looked towards Mujika, with puzzled expressions on their faces.
“You spilled our secrets to Haizaki. You told him about Daikidageda many years ago, so it must be you who brought him here. I was right, the chief was wro-” Mujika was cut short.
“Easy with your baseless allegations, Mujika!” irked Jill. “We have argued about this endlessly in the past. This is not the ti-”
“What is all this about?” Sayla asked, feeling concerned.
“You have not told them yet, eh?” Mujika snapped. “This woman,” Mujika said pointing towards Jill, “She will bring about the end of humanity on Earth. She is the one who brought Haizaki here. She has always stood beside Haizaki, her beloved.”
“Haizaki? Beloved? What are you talking about?” Jinx asked, astonishment apparent in his tone.
Everyone turned around looking towards Jill, horrified upon learning this secret. Jill looked down towards the ground, feeling isolated.
