Shin's first days as a baby were both peaceful and hectic, but far from boring. He had no responsibilities. All he had to do was eat, sleep and poop, and recurrent it. He had little to no motor control over his limbs except being able to wave them around and even that got tiring quickly. He realized that babies of his age can't control their body parts all that much. Forget about the motor control, he can't even secrete his wastes at his discretion.
From what he could see, his body was no different from a baby from Earth. He could hear his heartbeat and feel the movement of his chests while breathing.
One of the advantages of being a baby was that ignorance was perfectly fine. When the time came, someone would eventually teach him.
He had two priorities right now: number one, learn their language. All the babies are supposed to learn their language so he has to do something about it before being considered a retard.
Number two, he has to somehow figure out magic, or at least its foundations. It also becomes obligatory since he has something in his body that reacts to magic.
He set magic as his first priority. Being considered a slow learner was much better than being weak for life and then die miserably.
Shin spent most of his days in his mother's arms, listening to her way of talking to others and trying to understand it. Whenever someone talked to him, he tried to figure out the similarities and common patterns between the words.
The rest of the time, when he was left alone, he tried to enchant the spell and cast Heal but it was always a failure.
Neither was he able to feel an ounce of power in his body nor the voice would come out of his body. Every attempt was a failure. Comparing to what he read in mangaka and novels, the reality was cruel. Failure after failure and his anxiety grew stronger. Fear of the unknown and tomorrow started to build up.
Thankfully, his mother was always there to shower him with love and affection and nullified all the bad thoughts. Although he had a biased relationship with his mother in the previous life, Claire (mother of this baby) managed to make him feel loved and protected.
'I suspect that she is an angel because people like her don't exist in this world. Maybe they exist here, but not on Earth.' Shin thought while being carried on her back by a baby cradle strap of some sort. He went with her to have a look at the town he was living in.
It was more of a village-like area since the development was not that modern here. There were no roads or buildings. But there was something that compensated for the underdevelopment of this town.
'This is something that will never get dull. It's so delightful to see how they are naturally using magic in their day-to-day lives.' As he started admiring the beauty of magic, the voice once again reacted.

'I don't understand the way it functions. All the time I was trying to enchant the spell, but it didn't speak a single word, and now it started working again.
I wonder if it needs a visual interpretation of magic to react or my admiration and delight towards the magic. And this assimilation rate has already fallen by more than twelve percent. I am curious about what will happen when it reaches zero percent.'
While Shin was busy thinking about different possibilities, they were already home. As Claire entered the house, while carrying Shin, a boy was standing in front of her. He was Shin's older brother.
*"Where were you all this time, you troublemaker?"*
He was trying to walk inside without getting noticed but was caught by some unfortunate set of events.
'Who is he? His face reminds me of someone. Who was that? Ah right, my dear father. That means this young boy in front of me is my older brother. Looks like he chose the wrong time to enter the house.'
*"You didn't even meet your younger brother once. Is this how you will look after him in the future?"* Claire's face was reflecting a pure essence of anger that was about to be showered on the boy.
*"Well, things happened and took more time than expected. I was going to meet him right now."*
*"This kid, lying with that poker face, I need to teach you the rules of this house."* She twisted his right ear tightly and started walking inside while holding his ears.
*"Aaaaaahhh, it hurts. I am sorry. I will not do it again. Aaaaaaah"*
'I don't need any type of knowledge of their language to understand the current situation of my dear brother. Sometimes, it's nice to be a spectator.' Shin thought while relishing his brother's helplessness.
*"I need to talk to your father about you. Where is he fooling around?"*
*"Aaah, don't take me to father. I already missed my daily sword practice three days in a row. If he finds out I will be in big trouble."*
Claire stopped walking and removed her hand from his ears. She let out a sigh.
*"I am letting you go this time, but if something like this happens again, remember that your father will deal with you."*
*"Yes. I promise. I am going to do my pending work before dad finds out. Call me when the dinner is ready."*
While saying those words, Shin's brother moved towards the practice field behind their house.
Do you think you can get away from hell? Of course not. We humans don't have that power and authority. But there is someone whose identity and authority both are a mystery. Although he was human like us, who knows what happened to him before and after that. But one thing is clear, hell is inside him but he is still avoiding it.
Tsurumi Sho is a 17-year-old second-year high school student. He was a struggling manga artist or a freelancer who was famous for writing the "worst of the worst" stories. One day, while working on his manga he was accidentally killed by a resident in the apartment who was trying to commit suicide.
When he came to, he was in the middle of nowhere, and in front of him was the gate with the heading-
“WELCOME TO HELL”.
