World: 

Like it's explained in "A broken world" narrated by Adham (all I can say right now about him is that he's trapped in a place. His back story would be revealed later), Mages and moonwalkers (supernatural creatures) have been at war for centuries. The last war ended up shedding a lot of blood so the ancestors came up with a peace treaty to hold, well... peace.

This is the world in which Lina is given a second chance at life, but her contractor djinn didn't explain much to her before wiping her old memories. Now she's quite literally stuck in a child's body. The same child Zeke and Emire find when they're going through a banquet full of corpses.

It's written from the alternating perspectives of three narrators; Adham, Zeke and Lina.

'Forged from ashes' is my attempt at telling a story about found families.

Character Profiles

Lina;

Eyes: Mauve ash

Hair: Brown, but dyed silver later.

Species: Human/ mage/ fool

Personality: Hyperactive, Aggressive, always smiling, hyped, snappy, perfectionist.

Favorite colour: Prussian blue

Side notes: Being a helpless child again is not what she signed up for when a djin approached her to make a contract of reincarnation. Thrown in the middle of chaos, being brought up by a retired vampire general, and saving this new world might just be a tad too much than she initially bargained for

Adham;

Eyes: Juniper (darker shade of green)

Hair: Umber

Species: Werewolf

Personality: Quiet, cynical, calm, collected (except when someone touches him), reserved, sarcastic, loves annoying Lina.

Side notes: not much is known about his past at first, it'll be gradually revealed in later chapters. Just know, that he's had it quite tough in life, and has a repulsive reaction to anyone's touch

Zeke/ Zacharia;

Eyes: Golden, turn red when he's irritated

Hair: Black

Species: Vampire

Personality: Irresponsible, lazy, caring, doting, easily panicked, Loves: his daughter and his friends (except Yazan)

Side notes: the mighty vampire served in the old war with Emire, Yazan and two more of his friends. After losing all that was precious to him, he cut off himself from the world, choosing to spend his days in solitude.

Until he finds a baby, Lina, who practically forces him back in the light.

Emire

Eyes: Chestnut brown, turn red when she senses blood

Hair: blue, short, cut off just above her shoulder

Species: Vampire

Personality: easygoing, impulsive, responsible, mommy figure of the gang, caring, emotionally intelligent.

Loves: her son, her husband, Zacharia, Theo, Yazan, Dori, Lina.

Side notes; She is an ex-comrade and forever friend of Zeke. She's always trying to hold everyone together. She's an expert in solving problems.

Ethem (Emire's son);

Eyes: Chestnut brown

Hair: Black

Species: Vampire

Personality: calm, perceptive, protective, has to hide his identity.

Side notes: Lina's best friend, grows up to be a scholar, cares a lot about his people, to the point where he doesn't hesitate to kill for their safety.

Yazan

Eyes; Gray

Hair: Golden, blonde

Species: Siren

Personality: agitated, anti-social, tsundere, Happy in his kitchen, runs a bed and breakfast.

loves: making food, collecting unique dish sets, being near water, Lina

Side note: Also, an ex-comrade; He hates Zeke, hates mages, and hates the world, but_ lying under all that anger is a gentle giant that just wants to feed everyone good food.

Theo

Eyes: copper

Hair: Sienna

Species: Goblin

Personality: witty, laid back, faithful, hopeless romantic

Side note: He's the most loyal of them all, at least to the girls. Also, an ex-comrade, he wishes to never go back to war like others do and spends his days in a nice humble cottage with his wife.
