I traveled by leaping through the canopy, as usual. It’s be better if there was a somewhat large clearing surrounded by trees and bramble bushes on all sides. This way, the natural defences are in the clan’s favor. As I continued thinking of good types of land I should look out for, my paws slipped. I fell through the air, I really should be looking where I’m going. My pale wings reappeared and pushed me through the air, giving me a boost to climb onto the tree branch I just fell from.

“See? This is exactly why you aren’t a leader, Leafcatcher. You’re just too clumsy.” It was teased. They sat on top of a branch not too far ahead of me. I knew that they weren’t actually sitting on that branch. But nonetheless, it was still unsettling to see.

“Shut up,” I hissed at It, “you shouldn’t be teasing me when you only live in my head. For all we know, you could be thousands of times more clumsy than me.”

It chuckled again, “Do I only live in your head? Besides, you are sooooo bad at talking to me and me only. You can barely send messages through your mind and mind only. Dang.”

I hissed and continued parkouring through the leaves, passing straight through It. I look around for caves, clearings or areas near streams or rivers. Soon, something caught my attention, a large clearing hidden by trees and bushes. I jumped down and landed in the center of the area. There were indeed some bramble bushes, not too many and not too little. Perfect. Started to scout around the area around it, no rivers or streams but there was a small cave sandwiched in between two trees and a large rock jutting out not too far from the cave. 

“Wow… this is a pretty good spot, I’m surprised no other clan came to claim it.” It said in awe, “But you still need to settle near water or you’re bug of a clan will wither up and die from thirst.”

I rolled my eyes, “ I appreciate the help but next time, tell me something I don't know.”

“Hm…” It hummed, “How about the fact that it’s going to rain? Is that helpful?”

I sniffed the air and looked up, It was right, it’s going to rain soon. I didn’t think much about it before a name shot through my mind… “Jasmine…!”
