It may have been inevitable. It was in the nature of humans to have greed. Because of the many deaths of the vampires, a lot of news regarding the settlement was also revealed. The superior artifacts, items, and other technology. And it was no small gap, if a kingdom managed to get the technology of the settlement, it would gain the ability to suppress everyone. It started with small attacks at first. James didn’t mind it, he just left the barrier as is and only defended.

It was also his lack of understanding in human nature, especially greed. He simply let them do as they wished, thinking they would give up later.

The situation blew up, by a lot. A total of 63 Kingdoms and Empires allied for an all out attack. The amount of coincidences couldn’t be more tragic. Had James not been so invested in being a ‘person’ he wouldn’t have revived the dead vampires, meaning no information leak would have occurred either. Had he drastically strengthened the vampire race, they would have been able to resist, Yuehai even once asked to do this, but he had refused, saying the balance of powers shouldn’t be broken right now. Had James not invested in the settlement and granted it the technology he had created over the course of a millenium, the humans wouldn’t be as greedy. Above all, had James not been relaxed and slept for the first time in two hundred years, it would not have happened.

The enforced barrier which surrounded the area held. Of the barriers James could make, it was at the very bottom. He made it rather quickly, not really thinking much since he was there anyway. It held for hours under the concentrated attacks of 63 nations. The greatest mages the world had to offer, the largest armies ever seen as well as the greatest military artillery might in all of history. It held.

When the barrier finally shattered, waves upon waves, endless soldiers attacked. Vampires were stronger than humans in general. They were superior in almost every aspect. But they couldn’t do anything at all.

4 hours 32 minutes to break the barrier. 12 minutes to annihilate the vampires. Of 8,342 vampires of the Nicht Clan, a total of 8 were currently surviving.

James woke up. He didn’t need sleep anyway, it was simply one of the only ways for him to ‘stop thinking’. As he woke up, he sensed it. The aura of death, the murderous intent, the cries of the dead. He also realised exactly what happened.

Without hesitation James took out his weaponry. It would be the first time they were presented to the outside world. Against an army of all of humanity, James couldn’t slack off in his suppressed state.

“Edir” A staff, a simple weapon, if it was a weapon, but made with the best alloy and enchanted multiple times.

“Cliaz” Short sword.

“Terom” A Unique secondary magic based weapon.

“Sosei” Another sword.

“Intei” Spear.

James decided, he would not hold back in this sealed state. All at once, thousands of different weapons were summoned. Each were on par with god artefacts.

As the rain of death slammed at the army. James found Yuehai.

She was in berserker mode, and at that moment, a knife was stabbed in her heart. One of the only weaknesses of a vampire is exactly their heart. They can regenerate anywhere just fine, but the source is their heart. If it is destroyed, they die.

As she died, she was stabbed again and again. James didn’t know what exactly he was feeling. She was close to him, but he didn’t know how close. She was a mortal, he was an immortal, an absolute.

James stopped.

Nothing was stopping him.

The weapons dropped, no longer attacking on their own.

He was not in a state of shock.

He was controlling an emotion.

‘Don’t, the after effects of using Ruler is too great, you know just having two different personalities is already taking a toll on you. If you use Ruler, the birth of a third personality is a reality’

In fact, James was already influenced by Ruler.

He stumbled backwards, falling down. The eyes filled with superiority and lust only contained fear. He was too distracted to notice me before.

A mere mortal incurred the wrath of Deus.

I raised my arm, palm out, I intentionally moved slowly. The sound of the battle were muffled. I would let him despair during the short period he stayed alive. With each passing moment, his fear would only increase.

James didn’t know, this would be the first kill which he did on his own interests. Before this, there were various reasons each and every time. This time, it was pure selfish desire.

There was no precursor for attack. The man simply vanished. Every single atom in his body was destroyed. Completely eradicated. Law of causality, broken.

In mere seconds, many laws that make the universe were broken casually in James’ sealed form.

Law of time, Law of space, Law of causality, Law of life, Law of elements, Law of karma.

It was also not as if the Laws were unstable making it easier to break. These laws existed for trillions of years, being completely stable, furthermore, they have been continuously strengthened and restabilized  by James in his partially suppressed state.

James stood in front of Yuehai’s body which was quickly turning into a pool of blood. Another unique racial trait, once a vampire dies, their body turns to blood.

James was confused. He was unsure what to do. But one of the repeating thoughts were.

‘I can save her, I can revive her, I can use Ruler to undo everything’

The tyrannical power was waiting to be commanded.

However, James had vowed himself, he would not revive anymore people using Ruler. Never breaking promises and vows. This was the core principle James had. Breaking his word were acceptable depending on the circumstances, but never, would he break his vows.

But he also found a way. Souls. It was a concept, but it also made a way to resurrect the dead without Ruler.

In an instant, he located her soul, latching onto it.

‘A body, a body to anchor the soul to the physical realm’

James exhibited a behaviour he would not do, carelessness. If he paused to think even for a second, he could simply create a body on spot. But he was currently in a chaotic state of mind. Yuehai’s body already turned to blood, human bodies were incapable of housing the soul of a vampire. Other vampires also turned to blood, those who didn’t, were barely alive.

The world had stopped. Next to this area, a world that was accustomed to the World System for a thousand years suddenly couldn’t use it anymore. Here, where an endless army came together, no one dared to move forward. They only ran, far away.

The first thing which caught his eye was Nix. It was one of his sentient artefacts.

A sword, it’s blade was an alloy of Bardium, Isilium and Tetsium. The three metals James personally made. Combining the special energy conductivity of Tetsium and Isilium as well as the toughness of Bardium, it had a special dark grey color. The sentient part was in the handle. Within it, it hid several thousands of threads, they could be intertwined into stronger threads. If the scabbard was lost, these threads could substitute it, covering the entirety of the blade. These threads could also detach and grow, and as they are sentient, if perhaps it cut an opponent, while leaving behind a few threads in the wound, after a few seconds making it able to control the person’s movements.

It janked out of the ground, flying straight to his hand.

I circulated mana. All of it. I knew it wouldn’t make a difference but I still did it. After confirming that the soul was asleep. I stood up.

‘Is this… anger?’

‘How chaotic. I can’t maintain my rationality very well’

I was at a loss, I didn’t know what to do.

“Leave” I imbued my mana into it. Making it heard to everyone alive in this area.

I waited, my thoughts were a mess so I just waited for the ‘anger’ to die down.

I think 3 days passed like this, it was also then that Yuehai’s soul woke up.

James sought advice, he asked Yuehai for advice. He, an omnipotent and omniscient being, asked for a second opinion.

Perhaps she chose the words intentionally. ‘as your heart desires’.

In the span of 2 days, James conquered the world. The entire planet. Without using any of his grand abilities, he took over all, every single nation and clan without exception.
