At first, the citizens feared him. The manner he conquered was through sheer force. However their worries were unfounded. With each passing day there were thousands of reforms in the political structure.
James pulled down the gods from the realm of immortals and had them as the police. This action alone solved all crimes perfectly. The 7 judges of heaven and hell also came to the physical realm. With this, the crime rate was a perfect 0. Complete law enforcement and impossible to corrupt judges. Laws on themselves hold no value, it is the enforcement which gives it value. This was only one of the reformations.
James cleared all political positions, with his intellect, he alone was enough. There were many opposed, fearing the abuse of power and reign as a dictator. In fact, it is most likely the dumbest idea to have one person to have complete control over the government. Even the most virtuous would be tainted by the poison of power. The monarchy system would in theory be the best if the ruler was good. Who was James? A person who held absolute superiority since birth, a little thing as being the ruler of a planet couldn’t corrupt him one bit. The most intellectual person in existence. And someone who wouldn’t let his emotions influence his work. Besides, as long as James exists, no one else is fit to be the Ruler.
He removed all currency. Another foolish utopian idea, which could only be done because James existed. James could generate literal infinite resources, generally speaking, the rarer something is, the more expensive, if everything had endless quantities of it, what use is price? But that did not mean high ranking goods were free. He used a contribution type system. Depending on what you do, you could increase your contribution to the Empire. Again this was only possible because of James. One could cheat your points, but not this time. The World System was absolute, none could escape its eyes, it judged everything according to each variable of the situation. There was no way to bypass this, nor could you give these points to someone else, if you bought something, the World System is the one who does the transaction.
Some people lost their goals because of this, but quickly found a new one. Because if you couldn’t get money or status, what else could you get? Skills. Your talents in something. James elevated the occupations, there was nothing of status or money for them, purely desire to hone their skills. Some talentless complain, but they forgot an important fact. The World System. Merely through the World System and the leveling system built in, you could cross the gap of what would take years, in weeks. Eventually, the biggest factor was effort.
People also speculated about lifespan then. But once again they underestimated the World System, if they lack lifespan to sharpen their skills, then lengthen it. This is all the while possible, it is even possible to become immortal, or even a god through the World System. It became the new goal for humanity, not status as a bureaucrat, nor money, but power, to be the peak of something.
Political, Cultural and Economical aspects were based on this and developed further and further.
For the military, James honestly didn’t know how to start, he alone was good enough for the Empire’s military.
Eventually James created an Army. The Imperial Army, divided in 3 factions. Each having a General.
It was James, so how could an army he created be normal?
He added ranks. Rank 1, General. There were 3 of them, one for each faction. The three factions were based on land, water and air.
Rank 2: Vice-generals.
Rank 3: Head Strategists.
Rank 4: Diplomats.
Rank 5: Logistics Manager.
From Rank 6-1000, it was based purely on strength. Those of rank 501-1000 were basically cannon fodder. They were not the true might of the Imperial Army.
Rank 1000 is basically any average man, while rank 501 is at least an SS rank adventurer.
The biggest gap is between 501 and 500. From the rank 500, you are granted immortality. If you die, you are revived. They had the power of a divine beast. On rank 20, low level god. Rank 10, mid level god. Rank 6, 5 mid level gods. Ranks 2-5 are more random.
Rank 1: Ability to fight on par with 20 high rank gods simultaneously.
Each faction has around 70 divisions, each division has 30 or so brigades, each brigade has 10 companies, which in turn has 10 platoons, each platoon having 8 squads which have 4 teams, each team has 4 members.
The Imperial Army had around 81 million soldiers, it was a small army compared to the size of the Empire, which was the entire planet.
It’s military might however was unparalleled. In a fight, 1+1 is never 2. Based on cooperation, tactics and formations, it can even be 1+1=10. As such, alone, they are already strong, very very strong in their strength group. If they are in a team, they could easily handle anyone multiple stages above themselves, if they were two teams… Especially if they are a team from the high divisions, which is made entirely out of ranks above 500. A strong team that is undying. That, but several millions of them.
Also the divisions are split into 2 groups, one of immortals, the other of mortals, it is half half in number, but the strength is on another level. One team of the high divisions can easily overthrow an entire lower division. Which is why the lower divisions can’t be called the ‘Imperial Army’, as they are just normal people who want to join the Army. The high divisions are mostly made out of creations that James made, very few of them are actual citizens who managed to reach a high level of strength and then were granted immortality by James.
All this solidified his name as Deus.
Next, he also revealed his three metals which he created.
Tetsium, the mineral which can do 2 things. It can completely repel any skills, mana and aura that come in contact with it. This alone is a trait that isn’t seen even in the god metal, adamantium. However, even it’s toughness is undeniably top notch. The other aspect is the ability to perfectly conduct or absorb mana and aura. Which trait is called depends on the smelting temperature and forging process.
Craftsmen literally lusted after this metal. The amount of flexibility it had was immense.
The second metal James revealed, Isilium. It also had the ability to conduct energies with ease, but not on the level of Tetsium. The difficulty of even handling this metal to melt it was called impossible. It’s main trait is it’s toughness. If an archmage casted Doom Fire, it wouldn’t even make a dent. For comparison, the explosive power of Doom Fire is on par with hydrogen bombs detonated in quick succession. To be able to melt it, and shape it was considered a challenge. Being able to make anything out of Isilium was like proof of your skills.
With Isilium, the craftsmen thought they still had a chance to forge this metal. But when Deus revealed the last metal he had created. They despaired.
Bardium, nicknamed the Deus metal. It has no special traits. Only it’s absolute hardness and toughness. Comparing it to Isilium, it is like comparing a piece of paper to a meter thick steel alloy. Some even cursed the revered Deus, why did he reveal it? No one can ever hope to craft this metal. It was like it existed to cause despair for the craftmen. They lost faith in their own skills.
Deus remained silent to the curses. He let them be. It might take thousands of years, but as long as the World System exists, they will always be able to one day forge this metal.
It took a year after James established the Empire, but the miracles of the World System were finally showing itself. Before, it wasn’t possible due to the overall low level of the masses, nor were many in complete safety and died often before reaching a high level.
The System commanded perfect equality. Everyone had the exact same chances. Even if you get trashy Skills, effort can easily make up for it. The World System rewards effort unconditionally. It is an unfair and unequal perfect equality.
In just one year, the entire history was overturned. The very nature of humans were changed. Even with the adaptability of humans, this is considered impossible.
There were no rules in how to live your life. No need for school or work. Without doing anything you can just live on. If you want more benefits, just improve your abilities. But it wasn’t necessary, you could live your entire life lazing around until you die, and it would be a luxurious life, one for an aristocrat of the previous era. No one forced you, so people who only live for goals, what could they do? They sought an identity. To make a name for oneself. To work for money? That wasn’t it, people didn’t consider it ‘work’, they considered it an art. An art of life. This was the new way of life introduced by Deus.
This was the Divine Empire. A utopia made possible through absolute power. A world of miracles.
This was, Deus’ Legacy and Origin.
Deus expanded this Empire, crossing over 17 dimensions. A total of 17 planets made up the Empire.
These are the Origins of Deus, as Deus became the core of the world.
