The banquet officially started after King Wenhart performed the majika release. The King and his family bid their people, telling them to enjoy the feast prepared for them, and went back inside the palace to tend their noble visitors.
"Your Majesty." Greeted the nobleman upon seeing the King entering the hall with his wife and children.
"Congratulations! Your majika was splendid!"
"Thank you, Lord Drenzahl. I hope you are enjoying the banquet."
"Yes, Your Majesty. Thank you for your warm invitation. We are honoured, Your Majesty."
King Wenhart laughed heartily. "No need for thanks. Everyone's welcome to join us for this wonderful event of the year."
"Still-"
"Ah, Wah! Wah!" The Second Prince interrupted.
"I'm sorry, Lord Drenzahl. My son has interrupted you." Queen Cielisse apologized while trying to calm the fussy prince.
"No, no, my Queen. It is fine." Lord Drenzahl said. "So this is the Second Prince. Greetings!" He smiled at the young child.
The Second Prince stopped fussing in his mother's arms and smiled at Lord Drenzahl.
"It seems like the Second Prince would like to join our conversation." Said Lord Drenzahl.
"Seems like it." The King agreed.
As they talked, Prince Colin looked around him. He saw all noblemen attended the banquet and noticed one of his friends eating in the corner. He turned to his mother and pulled at her sleeve. Once the Queen's paid attention to him, he said, "Mother, I'll be over there with my friend."
"Alright, you may go." The Queen replied.
"Thank you." Prince Colin smiled at her before going in the direction of his friend.
"Leo!" Prince Colin called out to his friend.
"Mhf!" Leo, whose mouth was full, swallowed his food immediately, almost choking. "Co-Colin!"
"Hey, slow down! You're going to choke." Prince chuckled as he stood in front of his friend.
"No, I won't. By the way, the food's great!"
"It's all thanks to the cook and everyone who prepared it."
"Yes, you're right. And that majika release earlier is so amazing! I feel younger!"
"Well...yeah... I mean, you're not even old yet."
"It's just a saying." Leo rolled his eyes. "But you know what, I noticed something strange." He mysteriously lowered his voice.
Leaning closely to Leo, Prince Colin asked, "What is it?"
"I'm not sure, but... the majika release seemed a little less bright than before."
"What?" Prince Colin pulled away from Leo, dumbfounded. "What do you mean? It looks the same to me."
"Maybe it's just me, but I can't help feeling this way."
"Hmmm... Maybe you were just hungry then."
"Yep." Leo grinned. "And since it's a banquet, I'm going to eat a lot!" he proclaimed and started putting dish after dish on his plate and ate.
Prince Colin looked a little disgusted at Leo's eating habit. "Where does all the food go to?" He asked. "You're eating a lot, but you never get fat. How envious."
"Well, if you must know, these dishes help me with my charm." Leo winked at Prince Colin, who recoiled in aversion.
"Now you're just talking nonsense. It's disgusting."
Leo laughed at Prince Colin's reaction.
Meanwhile, a woman rushed into a small building surrounded by different flowers and far away from the noise. She went inside her room and sat at the table, facing the wall but not seeing anything. Her long black hair, previously tied neatly, now looked a little loose, and hair silky white dress crumpled. Her eyes misted, and her lips trembled as she tried to understand the vision she saw.
Outside her room, five maids stood in wait. All of them had worried expressions on their faces.
"Is the Priestess alright?" One of the maids asked.
"Well, I hope she is." Another maid replied. "I think she saw something upsetting."
"You mean, she had a vision just now?!"
"Well, probably."
"It's rare for her to act this way. I hope it isn't something bad for us."
"Please, don't say that..."
The door beside the maids suddenly opened, startling them into silence.
"Priestess..."
"Are you alright, Priestess?"
"I am fine. Don't worry about me." The Priestess replied calmly.
"But, Priestess. You look upset."
The Priestess sighed. "Who wouldn't be after what I have seen."
"Is that bad?"
The Priestess did not answer right away, making the maids worry even more.
"Please, say something, Priestess."
"It's...hard to say." The Priestess paused. "Truthfully, what I saw is just a glimpse of a distant future. It's so far from now that you don't need to worry about it."
"Really?"
"Yes, trust me." The Priestess smiled at the maids to reassure them. "But, this is something that I need to discuss with the King. He needs to be informed."
"We understand, Priestess. Let us fix your hair and clothes before you go to the palace."
The Priestess nodded at the maids. She allowed them to lead her back into her room and made some preparations. Afterwards, she went outside to get her white mare.
The maids saw her, and they started making noise in disagreement about her riding a horse.
"Priestess, why are you on the horse?"
"Please, don't use the horse, Priestess."
"Why not use the carriage, Priestess?"
The Priestess ignored her maids, thinking that the horse is faster than the carriage, and went on ahead.
It did not take her long before she reached the palace. She saw the people of Luciel Kingdom were having a feast. Not liking the crowd of people, she decided to go around and use the back passage of the palace to get inside. As she passed by, the palace guards bowed their heads in respect until they could no longer see her.
"Oh!" a palace maid gasped upon seeing the Priestess. "Priestess, you're here!" she bowed her head as she spoke.
Getting down the mare, the Priestess asked the maid to take the mare to the stable and asked someone to inform the King of her arrival.
"Yes, Priestess." The maid immediately did as told.
