“Are you up yet?” Lilac asked, banging on their siblings’ doors.

“Yeah, yeah.” Yawned Brandan, giving them a half-hearted glare. “Can’t I sleep for five more minutes?”

“Not if you don’t want to be late for practise.” Blake scolded him, resting on their own doorway.

“I’ve already been up for the past two hours. Is breakfast ready yet?” Jason asked, emerging from his room with a book in hand.

“Yes, it is.” Lilac said with an eyeroll. “Anyone going to make a guess where Karla is this morning?”

The four siblings looked at the last room on their side of the house. The door hadn’t opened.

“She’s probably out on the streets again.” Blake said with a sniff. “When will she stop doing that?”

Blake and Brandan returned to their rooms to get ready while Lilac and Jason headed to the kitchen.
