“Good morning, Lilac, Jason.” Greeted the woman in the kitchen.
“Good morning Mrs Rue. The others will be down soon.” Lilac replied.
“Including that sister of yours? Or is she out on the streets again?” Mrs Rue asked.
The siblings winced.
Karla smirked as she dodged under the arm of her opponent.
“Your gonna have to do better than that!” She laughed.
“One of these days, you’ll meet your match.” The bookie promised her, eyes on the book in his hands. “Then we’ll be out of a lot of money.”
“You worry too much, James. I’ve not had an opponent come close yet.”
Blake sang softly as they watered the plants on their windowsill, ignoring the crowds they could see forming on the street below.
“Into the breach again, my friends.”
Brandan carefully wrapped his injury; he had cut himself on a broken glass. He tripped slightly on his rug on his way to the door, earning a sigh. His recent growth spurt was causing him more than a few problems.
Phoena the Mage. Bree the Barbarian. Galen the Healer. Sedge the Swordsman. Kieran the Rogue. The greatest heroes the land has ever seen.
Lilac the wallflower. Karla the brawler. Jason the studious. Brandan the jock. Blake the gardener. Siblings who stand out in their differences.
Their paths were never meant to cross, bound in separate worlds. Until something went wrong and the heroes and siblings switched places. They long to go home but they don't know how.
