“Are you sure your directions are right?” Kieran asked from where they hung upside down on Bree’s shoulder.

“Grizzle provided the map.” Phoena said with a frown. “But you’re right. This doesn’t look like Nightfell – normally we would’ve hit it by now.”

The group paused and took a closer around.

Nightfell was an unusually bright place despite its name, home to the largest range of magical plants due to the old druidic ruins.

Where they were did not fit that description.

“Weapons ready.” Commanded Phoena, eyes beginning to glow.

They were in a shadowy forest with ominous dark mist coming their way.

“I can’t see through it.” Phoena alerted them, eyes narrowing. There wasn’t much their eyes couldn’t see.

“The only forest on the map she gave us was Moonlit – that’s after Nightfell.” Kieran said. “This place isn’t natural.”

The mist continued to increase in size until it swallowed up all five adventurers before disappearing, the forest and heroes with it.
