The siblings all left the house together that morning, heading towards the university campus. Mrs Rue had enrolled them to get them off her couch, with strict orders to make something of themselves after the accident.
“You sure we’re going the right way?” Blake asked Lilac. “I know none of us have attended yet but I don’t remember a forest on our way last time.”
“Me neither.” Said Karla, fingering the concealed knives in her pockets. “I reckon we’ve gone the wrong way.”
“You think? What is the world coming to?” sniped Jason.
Lilac sighed as their siblings began to fight again.
“Look Blake, do you remember her directions?” Brandan asked, trying to pull Jason and Karla apart.
“Uh… head straight? Turn at the round-a-bout and it wasn’t far from there. We should’ve been able to see it.” Blake said with a frown.
“Is anyone else getting a bad feeling about this?” Lilac asked nervously.
Dark mist started to emanate from the trees, heading towards them. In mere seconds the entire group was swallowed in darkness. As quickly as it appeared, it vanished with the siblings and the trees.
Phoena the Mage. Bree the Barbarian. Galen the Healer. Sedge the Swordsman. Kieran the Rogue. The greatest heroes the land has ever seen.
Lilac the wallflower. Karla the brawler. Jason the studious. Brandan the jock. Blake the gardener. Siblings who stand out in their differences.
Their paths were never meant to cross, bound in separate worlds. Until something went wrong and the heroes and siblings switched places. They long to go home but they don't know how.
