Olivia's POV
"What? My father was the one who could use that power?" I asked Irene and Chris and they both jaw-dropped. Well, mostly Chris jaw-dropped more than Irene.
"Wait, what was your father's name again?" Chris asked and I frowned.
"Justice Gabelman. I am Olivia Gabelman." Suddenly Chris gasped and looked at me in awe.
"No wonder why your last name sounds familiar. You're Justice Gabelman's daughter." Suddenly he murmured.
"My best friend? Seriously? I can't believe this." Chris glanced silently at me and I knew what he meant. I let him go and gather his thoughts while Irene nodded silently at me because she had already guessed about it even though she did not show it.
"So you're Justice Gabelman's daughter huh?" Irene suddenly grinned and I nodded. She hugged me happily while I stood there, confused.
"I am so happy that I've met you, Olivia." I hugged her back and smiled because no one had ever been polite to me until when I met Irene. I saw Chris jogging back to our spot and was grinning like crazy.
"I m really glad to meet both of you, actually," Chris said Irene and I both hugged Chris tightly and smiled because no words could tell how much that we appreciate each other's company. Assassin me smiled for a while before she turned around and torrents of curse words came spewing out from her mouth.
"Damn, why was there no stop to this? Olivia, you and your friends have to come with me. I will explain about this power in the safe house." We all nodded and rushed out to the safe house.
-----in the safe house-----
"You guys need to tell no one what I am going to tell you." We all nodded and Assassin me smiled.
"Olivia, the power of separation is very complicated, so complicated that no one could properly figure it out except our father. You see," Assassin me took a deep breath and continued. "For this to work, you need to think about what is the desire that was buried deep inside you. For you, your desire was simple, to find the truth of who killed your family members and kill those who were involved and it had made another persona of you, me. For me to have a physical body, your desires and original you have to be separated but our power, memories, and others are the same. The second condition of complete and perfect separation is that your core, the very being of who you are, has to be intact. Many people had tried and failed the separation because of this condition. To check your core, you need to look deep into yourself. If you see the core is glowing brightly and the glow is steady, it means that your core is intact. Otherwise, it is not intact and you cannot use the power of separation. Once those two conditions are met, concentrate your power and expel it out to form the other body and you can separate but watch out, if the separated you had been killed, you will feel as if you had been ripped apart but the more separated body you do, the less pain you will feel. Father did not want you to use this power because it is dangerous, Olivia." I nodded and felt silent as I thought that this was my fault. Assassin me placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled gently.
"It is not your fault, Olivia. You had not learned of your true power yet so it is normal that you can't control it." I smiled at Assassin in a thank you smile and she nodded, hugging me, and disappeared into my heart. I stared at the sky and smiled softly as it was getting dark.
"Oh, before I forgot Olivia. Since you are me after I disappear into you, you will get the memories of you during those times as an assassin and you can call me anytime as long as you need help." I mentally nodded before I mentally asked her in my mind.
"What do I call you?" Assassin me mentally smirked and replied.
"Lativia." I smiled mentally.
"Nice name." Lativia mentally grinned before muttering.
"Your friends are worried about you after you did not respond for too long. You better go. I will see you at night in your room in my physical form." I nodded mentally before everything turned to normal. I saw Chris waving his hand in front of my face and swatted his hand away.
"Seriously Chris?" He smiled sheepishly and I frowned. I saw Irene at the roadside and waved at her. She immediately grinned and pulled Chris and me by the hand back to the police department. We all laughed as we went.
-----at night in Olivia's room-----
"Olivia." I turned to my right and smiled at Lativia.
"Hey, Lativia." She nodded and she stood up, gently dusting the dust of her assassin suit. She took out a liquid from a pouch that I had placed on the bed and gave it to me.
"Here, it will help to let your power be controllable. From now on Olivia, we are going to train your powers starting with your separation powers." I nodded and stood up as well.
"Wait, when did you have the liquid?" She giggled.
"I made it. After all, I was in my physical form remember." I pouted at her but smiled afterward.
"When will the training be?" I asked Lativia and she grinned like a Cheshire cat.
"Every night after your work. After all, I could see the timetable from your mind since I'm you." Her grin became wider.
"Drop and give me 200 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, and then.......oh wait, you can't jog outside and you definitely can't jog in your room as you will wake up your friend and your adoptive parents. Hmm.......do stretching and then we will train with weapons starting with a sword." I quickly started to do the push-ups and all I could think of was.
"Oh boy. This is going to be a long training session."
