As I walked home, raindrops hit my head. The icy cold droplets were somewhat soothing. It was quiet other than the steady rhythm of my footsteps and the rain. 'Why am I even worrying so much over this?' I think to myself 'If anything happens, it won't be me who caused it.' I look up and see my house. I stop in front of the entrance and sigh. I take my keys out of my pocket and unlock the front door, which creaked loudly as I opened it. I step inside, the familiar warmth of home embracing me as I took off my coat, which was just as soaked from the rain as my hair was.

I stand there for a bit, trying to identify the faint smell of food that was coming from the kitchen when I hear the distinct sound of the kitchen door opening. I turn my head to see who it is. I see my mum in the doorway. She notices me and says, "Hey sweetheart! Did you have a nice day at school today?" "Today was fine," I said, "What's for dinner?" "It's spaghetti!" I hear Kayla, my little sister, scream from the kitchen. "No need for me to answer that question then," my mum says as she laughs, "It will be finished in like half an hour." "I guess I'll just go to my room then," I say as I walk down to the end of the corridor, my room being the door to the left.

I open my door and sigh in relief as I take off my bag and lay down in my bed. I was so unbelievably tired that I fell asleep within a few minutes.
