It is Saturday morning. Out of crazy things that could overwhelm our poor Charles during the week. One thing that she did not expect was this proposal.

A few minutes before, she was texting me about how annoying he is coming off. I explained he was really into her. He walks over to Charles. Hey, is it ok if we go over the pictures from the basketball game last night, Amber-Rose? James asked. Sure, when? Charles asked. How about tomorrow morning around eight or nine? James asked. Why so early? Charles asked. I work on Saturday and Sunday nights, unfortunately. James replied. I see. Charles replied. Sure you can come over. Just text me when you arrive. My family maybe sleeping when you arrive. Charles replied. Wait, no Ryo won't be up. She mumbled. Well I will see you then. James replied. Oh, let me send you my address. Charles replied. She smiled. He smiled.

Friday night, she texted me what is going to happening today. I was like he had two motives. I'm not stupid. I thought.

That morning, he came up to the door. Charles scurry him in the house. Hey Charles, if you're going to bring handsome company. I will keep my lips sealed. I replied. Ryo, how long have you been up? Charles asked. Long enough to keep dad and the rest of your family at bay. I replied. This is my half-sister, Ryoko Hirano. Charles replied. Let's go to her room and talk. I replied. As he lightly walked up the stairs, I heard a yawn. Who is up this early? Amaryllis asked. Why is it her that is up? Charles mumbled. Hmm? James thought.

They got into Charles Room, he was shocked about me.

So you can speak many languages? James asked. Yes, my mother is a historian, so I traveled with her, so I had to learn so many languages. I replied. What is your native language? James replied. My native language is Japanese. I replied. Let me leave you two alone. I replied. As I walked out her room door, Amaryllis grilled me.

Who is she talking to? Amaryllis asked. It's too damn early in the morning, I am going back to bed. Too much human interaction. I replied. She starts putting clues together. You know ease dropping is distasteful. I replied. Then our dad and Carla walk into the hallway. I heard a boy in the house other than your brother. Henry replied. Oh, f**k. I started to text her.

Ryoko: Hey, they are up. Dad is about to come to your room. I can keep him at bay as long as I can.

Charles: 🥺

Ryoko: Do what you need to do.

Charles:🥰

Charles turns her laptop on and James is fascinated with the screen saver. Is that Tod•r••i? James asked. Yes, I am a big My H••o. Charles replied. Me too. James replied. Are you going to the next convention in Sand Diego next month? Charles asked. Yeah. James replied. It is on Saturday and Sunday. Charles. I am going to the book signing on Saturday. I took off. How about we go together? James asked. Sure. Charles replied. She smiled. Let me see the pictures you have from your camera. James replied. As she and him were exchanging pictures, our dad cracked the door. She has a boy over and she's laughing. He's smiling. Thanks, I can finish up the rest at my house. James replied. He waved bye to Charles. She walks him out. See you on Monday. Charles replied.

James: Hey Amber-Rose, is your family always ease drop on you?

Charles: Well, not many people from school come to see me. It's usually my older sister, Amaryllis, that gets visits.

James: So that was Amaryllis.

Charles: Yeah, she is my older sister. 😔

James: I'll text you when I get home.

Charles: Alright.

If you're going to have a guest over, just tell me. Henry replied. Charles gave dad the most deadpan expression. Dad, if I told you he was coming here this early, you would not let it go. Charles replied. Amber, be nice to your father. He was just concerned about you. It's just you being alone with him. Carla replied. Um Carla, he actually had pure intentions. I would have told him to leave. I replied. You would have? Charles asked. He likes her, but he wants to break the boundary a little at a time, huh. I thought.

When he got home, he was so overjoyed to find out, how much they had in common. He smiled.
James, are you paying attention? Gray asked. Yeah. James replied. You are into a girl? Gray asked. How do you know? James asked. You're smiling at your phone. Who is she? Gray asked. Amber-Rose Bryant. James replied. Wait, Amber-Rose as Amaryllis' little sister? Gray asked. Yeah. James replied. She's a very thoughtful but naive at the same time. Her parents sheltered her. Gray replied. She is not that bad, right? James asked. Unfortunately, who knows being around other people will break her from norms. Gray replied.

James: I'm home.

Charles: I'm glad you made home safely.

James: Thank you.

Charles: ☺️

James: Do you have the paperback or read them on your phone?

Charles: Both. I got the first 12 volumes as a Christmas gift.

James: that cool. What else do you like?

Charles: I am a big fan of  O•• Pi••e fan.

James: I think the voice actors will be there this year and a few others too.

Charles: Really?

James: Yes.

As they texted each other, I saw Amaryllis get curious.

Why don't you ask instead of leering? I asked. Ryoko, don't interfere. Amaryllis replied. Did James  coming over hurt you inside because he wasn't enjoying himself in your company? I asked. She was shocked at what I asked. Looks like I hit the mark. I replied. Charles looks at Amaryllis. Are you angry that I brought him over this morning? Charles asked. No, my hair wasn't looking my best. I had bedhead. Amaryllis replied. I think he really cared. He came over for Yearbook purposes this morning. Charles replied. Really? Amaryllis asked.
