There was a pause as Caden thought about how he did not say the words he wanted to. And Dean started freaking out in his head, wondering if he heard things wrong.
"Do-do, you want to go now?" Dean asked as he squeezed Caden's hand.
Caden stared at him with jumbled thoughts as he shook his head. Dean looked disappointed at the response, thinking that he might have heard things wrong.
Seeing his facial expression, Caden quickly spoke, "I want to take you on a date, but it is late now, and we have to see the wedding planner tomorrow. Also, did you speak with your mother?"
Dean did not want to add his mother to the conversation because he was happy that Caden does want to go on a date. He pictured himself jumping up and down in his mind since it would be embarrassing to do in the open.
"I did, but it was a short conversation; she does not want to change her mind. And when I tried to call her back, her assistant told me she is busy with her shops." Dean answered.
Caden sighed as he rested his head on Dean's shoulder, "Well, we will see how things go."
Dean hummed before turning his head to stare at Caden. A smile was present on his face as he watched the man. He could not get over Caden asking him on a date.
"You look creepy staring at me like that," Caden commented. His eyes were glued to the screen.
"How can you tell how I look when your eyes are on the TV?"
"Because you always look creepy."
Dean laughed, "Wow, very mature."
"Yep, I am the mature one here."
"Surrre," Dean dragged the word out, "so, where are you taking me on this date? And when is it?"
Caden picked his head up as he faced Dean. They stared at each other with their faces barely an inch apart. Caden could not help his eyes from dropping to the man's lips.
Dean's breath started to pick up.
"Where would you like to go?" Caden asked, forcing his eyes to look into Dean's.
Dean had done the same as Caden before forcing his eyes to stay above the man's lips. "Anywhere with you is fine."
"Hmm, I wonder if we should redo the picnic scene, and this time, I cook so that we can have edible food," Caden responded with a playful smile.
Dean groaned at the response, "Can you not bring that up?"
Caden hit Dean's leg with their intertwined fingers. "I am kidding. I enjoyed the rocks you served us. But, I am going to surprise you tomorrow instead."
Dean shook his head with a soft smile before saying, "Okay."
They stayed in the same position as their eyes dropped to each other's lips. Tension started to grow as Dean began to remember the man's lips on his. He wanted to kiss him so bad that it drove him crazy.
But most of all, he did miss seeing Caden.
"I missed you," Dean whispered. His heart started to beat fast once he spoke those words.
Caden's face softened as different emotions passed through his eyes; his heart could not calm down. "I missed you too."
Dean felt warm, too warm, like someone turned the heat up in the flat. Their breaths began to mix as they started to move closer, their lips almost touching as Caden parted his.
"Can I kiss you?" Dean asked, ignoring how his lips softly rubbed against Caden's when he spoke. He could not stop his hand from squeezing Caden's.
Instead of answering with words, Caden responded with action.
Once their lips touched, Caden took his hand out of their hold and grabbed the back of Dean's head, pulling him close.
Dean gripped the man's legs, moving his lips against his as they kissed.
What was supposed to be slow and sweet started to turn deeper when the tension between them began to explode.
Dean leaned back into the couch as Caden moved on top of him, ending up in his lap. He wrapped his arm around the man's back, gripping his shirt. Caden moved his head away as he started nibbling on Dean's bottom lip.
Dean opened his mouth as Caden stuck his tongue inside, already aiming for his piercing as he rubbed his tongue against it.
Moaning from Caden running his tongue on his piercing, Dean pushed the man closer until their bodies were utterly touching.
Their tongues moved against each other before Caden took control. He explored every inch of the man's mouth. Caden ground against him, causing them both to moan into the kiss.
He swallowed it all down before moving his head back, breathing hard while a line of saliva followed before breaking.
Dean's cheeks were a bit red as his lips had a gloss to them. He tilted his head, staring at Caden with hooded eyes.
Caden took in the look, feeling all his blood going south as he tried to hold back a groan. He leaned his head on Dean's shoulder, putting his arms down while gripping the couch.
"We should stop here," Caden spoke as he continued to breathe hard. Saying those words took a second longer because he wanted to touch the man so bad.
Dean was not faring any better as he nodded, trying to control himself. "Okay." He slowly answered.
They stayed in the position for a while before Caden finally stood up, moving back from the man. He put his hands over the front of his pants to cover his problem. "We should rest; we have to see the wedding planner tomorrow, then go on our date."
Dean nodded even though his mind was still on what happened seconds ago. Caden said good night, quickly going to his room before he ended up kissing the man again.
Leaning back, Dean ran his hand through his hair, trying to calm himself before getting up and going to his room. After a while, he pulled out his phone to happily text his friends that Caden asked him on a date!
A broad smile appeared on his face, showing off his dimples as he could not wait for tomorrow (the date part, not the wedding planner one).
The next day came as Caden and Dean walked to the car.
Caden had on a long white dress that covered his body; it even had long sleeves. There was a bag in his hand with another pair of clothes for his date later with Dean.
Dean wore a white button-up shirt with dark grey joggers on. He had the file in his hand that his mother gave them as he opened the passenger door and got it.
Caden came in after him, closing the door behind him as he threw his bag in the back. He buckled himself. Before starting the car, he turned towards Dean, "Did you get all the papers?"
Shaking the file to show that he did, Dean set them on his lap before buckling himself. Seeing that the papers were there, Caden turned on the car.
Once the car was on, he went to the built-in GPS and put in the coordinates. When the route started, Caden drove out of the driveway and entered the streets.
While driving, Dean started to play some music on low volume as he pulled out his phone and started texting his friends. He could already see that Zie and Lia had their daily fight in the group chat. He talked around their argument.
Caden kept quiet during the whole ride until they were a few minutes away from their destination. "So, I have something else to say."
Dean put down his phone, turning it off as he looked at the man. "What is it?"
Caden began to tap his fingers on the wheel, growing nervous at what he was getting ready to tell Dean. "Remember how I told you about my parents?"
"Yeah." Dean could not help the flash of anger growing through him at the thought of Caden's parents.
"Well, my parents had five kids, including me. Two of them they sold to a wealthy family, and the last one they spoil. But when I told you I left home at a young age due to neglect, I never mentioned that I took my sister, who is a year younger, with me.
"I raised her until I had to go to college. We still talk every day even though we barely see each other. I did not tell anyone about her. But I want to be honest with you."
The car stayed silent after he spoke; the music played in the background, filling the space. Dean took in the words that Caden told him, going through different emotions.
He was furious at hearing that parents sold their kids like nothing. Knowing that makes him hate Caden's parents even more. And when he listened to the part about his sister that he is close to, Dean was not mad that Caden did not tell him. He could understand, but he would like to meet his sister.
Because of the silence, Caden thought Dean was mad at him. "I am sorry for not telling you. If you do not want to go on a date with me, that is okay."
They already made it to their destination as Caden parked the car, turning it off. But he did not move as he waited for Dean to say something.
Dean shook his head, grabbing Caden's hand. He squeezed it to reassure the man that he was not angry with him. "I am not mad. Well, I am furious with your parents for being the worst type of humans. But not telling me about your sister; I know you must have your reasons.
"I only want to know if I could meet her."
Caden relaxed when Dean told him he was mad at him, but his parents, until the man said he would like to meet Yaya.
Don't get him wrong, Caden would like Dean and Yaya to meet, but the meeting would worry him.
Yaya does not have a filter, and Dean could be childish sometimes. Yaya and Dean mixing asked for a disaster to happen, and all Caden could see was a headache for him.
"Are you sure? My sister has no filter."
Dean nodded, "Yeah, I can tell she is important to you, and I want to meet people that you care about."
Caden's heart skipped a beat as he softly kissed the man before moving back. "Okay. I will tell her, and we can talk about a date for you two to meet. Now, let's get out of the car and meet the wedding planner."
Dean smiled from the kiss before nodding, taking his hand away from Caden to unbuckle himself. He grabbed the files as they got out of the car.
Caden locked the doors.
Dean and Caden walked towards each other, holding hands as they made their way to the building with the wedding planner.
