Wedding Planner

Wedding Planner

Jun 10, 2021

They walked into the building, making their way to the front desk. The woman behind the desk looked up and smiled at them. Although, her gaze never looked away from Dean.

"How can I help you?" The woman asked, looking as if she was only speaking to Dean. It was like Caden did not exist in her eyes.

Dean opened his mouth to speak, but Caden moved him a bit to where he was face to face with the woman. He answered instead.

"We have an appointment with the wedding planner, Mrs. Conwey." Caden emphasized the word 'wedding' while showing off his ring that he put back on before coming here.

The woman ignored it but still carried a tiny bit of professionalism by answering with, "Have a seat; Mrs. Conwey will be with you in a few minutes."

Caden did not say anything while Dean nodded. He pulled Dean to the seats and sat down.

Dean leaned back in his seat as they let go of each other's hands. He ran his hand through his hair, ignoring how the woman at the desk kept staring at him. "I am already starting to feel anxious."

"I am feeling annoyed," Caden muttered as he glared at the woman whose eyes would not leave Dean. Even if this is all fake, she does not know that, which means that they are married or fiancés in others' eyes. Plus, if the date, later on, goes well, they would most likely end up together soon.

So, he could not understand why the woman wanted to keep flirting with Dean.

Dean looked at Caden before holding his hand that held the chair's arm in a tight grip. He could already see cracks appearing on it. "Ignore it. Please focus on the wedding planner we are going to meet soon. What if she asks for proof or any other information we cannot provide?

"We do not have any of that," Dean spoke.

It took a second longer for Caden to stop glaring at the woman as he focused more on Dean's hand to calm himself down.

He turned towards the man, "We will be fine. I am sure the wedding planner helps with budgets, finding vendors and a venue for us, and ensuring everything goes well on the wedding day.

"The only thing we need to worry about is the venue and when the Officiant comes. But hopefully, we can stop all of this before we get that far."

"Hopefully." Dean lowly muttered. He would try with his mother again, but he felt like his mother would make a wedding happen no matter what.

Caden was getting ready to respond when a door opened and out walked an older woman. The woman, who they guessed as Mrs. Conwey, walked over to them.

Dean and Caden stood up when the woman put out her hand. They shook it as she greeted them, "Hello, I am Mrs. Conwey, and you two must be Mr. and Mrs. Levy?"

"Yes, we are," Caden replied.

Once Mrs. Conwey put her hand down, she turned back towards her door, "Follow me to my office." She already started walking.

They followed her while Dean made sure that he still had the folder with him. The woman stood by the door, letting them enter first before closing the door behind them.

Caden and Dean took a seat in the chairs in front of the desk, and Mrs. Conwey sat down in hers.

The woman looked at Dean as she started, "Your mother called about how you two have been married for three years without a wedding, correct?"

Caden nodded, "Yes. I did not want my parents to find out, so we eloped instead." He used the same excuse he told the mother.

But even if he and Dean got married for real, the excuse would be the truth. Although his parents forgot about him and the others for their little girl, they would come back in a heartbeat if he married someone rich.

"I heard that too," Mrs. Conwey replied before turning back to Dean, "and she also told me that you would have a folder with some vendors and wedding venues to check."

Dean handed the folder to her as he nodded. He did not go through the papers as he should have, but it would feel all too real if he did. Mrs. Conwey grabbed it, opening the folder as she went through the contents.

Even Caden did not want to glance at the papers because it was still too much for him. Plus, he did not want to see what Dean's mother envisioned for their wedding.

Mrs. Conwey hummed as she looked through the papers, slowly surveying them. After a few minutes, she finally put them down, looking at Dean and Caden.

"I can see that Mrs. Levy wants you two to have a grand wedding with food from around the world. Although the vendors may be challenging to get, I can guarantee that there are a few venues opened that cater to about 400 guests."

Caden frowned because he did not like the sound of that at all. Dean had the same look, "Is there a way we can change to a smaller venue? There is no need for so many people to attend our wedding. A minimum of 50 guests is the best."

"That is fine. I can look for that while keeping the grand part that your mother wants to see. But, I would like to know if you two had a certain theme in mind? And would you want an outdoor or indoor wedding?" Mrs. Conwey asked.

"Indoor and is there a way to have a simple theme but still keep with what Mrs. Levy wants?" Caden spoke this time.

"Yes, that is fine. I can have appointments set up by the following week for the venues; the vendors will take longer. I know there is no limit to the budget here, but I will write everything down and go over it with you on our next appointment.

"Is there anything else you need or have to ask?" Mrs. Conwey finished.

Dean shook his head while Caden answered with, "We are good for now. If there is anything else, we will contact you."

"Ah, yes," the woman exclaimed before pulling out a card, "it has my contact information on it."

Dean grabbed the card and put it in his pocket, "Thank you."

Mrs. Conwey hummed before standing up; Dean and Caden followed after her. "If that is all, I will walk you to the door."

She walked to her office door, holding it open for them. Dean and Caden said goodbye to her as they left.

When they walked out, the woman at the front desk looked like she wanted to say something to Dean. But Caden gave her a death glare, causing her to keep quiet; it did not stop her from pouting, though.

Once they left out of the building, Caden let out a sigh before rubbing his temples. Seeing that, Dean hit his shoulder against the man. "Hey, I do not know if I can stop my mother from making the wedding happen, but I will try to make sure it is not a big one."

"You know you are going to have to stop the wedding at some time. We do not have a wedding certificate to prove we are married, and I am pretty sure an Officiant would need to see that." Caden answered as they walked to the car.

Dean thought for a second before saying, "We can forge it?" He sounded unsure as he nibbled on his bottom lip.

"No, we are not going to do that." Caden shook his head, unlocking the car doors. But instead of getting in the front, he opened the backseat door.

He tossed the keys to Dean, who almost missed them since his mind was elsewhere. Dean held the keys in his hand then looked at Caden with a questioning look.

"Start the car; I am going to change in the back," Caden told him as he entered the backseat, closing the door. He grabbed his bag, pulling out his clothes.

Dean got in the front seat, closing the door as he put the key in. Then he asked, "Should I drive to a more secluded area?"

"I would say yes, but with your driving skills, I say we can risk it here."

Clicking his tongue, Dean pouted, "My driving is not that bad."

Caden slipped the dress he wore off while letting out a soft laugh. "Sometimes, I cannot help but wonder how you got your license."

Red started to appear on Dean's cheeks as he thought back to his driver's test. "I barely passed," he murmured before speaking louder, "but that means I am not terrible with driving. I can do short distances."

Caden already had his shirt and pants on as he put his hair down. "You are cute." He teased.

Dean grabbed a small piece of paper in the front as he crumbled it up before throwing it at Caden. "I do not need your teasing. Now, I am not going on a date with you."

Caden leaned forward until he was close to Dean's face. "Oh? That sucks; I had a fun day planned. I guess I will go myself."

Dean filled in most of the space between them as they were barely an inch apart. They can feel each other's breath. "Hmm, that is sad. But, I think it would be funny to see you go on a date alone."

Caden's eyes dropped to Dean's lips for a beat longer before he glanced up. "You know what would be funnier?"

"What?"

"You, cooking on your own for a week," Caden spoke with a low tone as he could not stop his eyes from dropping to Dean's lips every second.

Dean poked his lips out on purpose as he gave a fake whine, "I guess I will go on this date."

Caden chuckled before grabbing his shirt and closing the distance between them.

Dean almost moaned when their lips touched because he craved it, and being this close on made the craving worse.

They kissed for a few seconds, not going deep, as Caden pulled back. He licked Dean's bottom lip before ultimately moving away.

Dean whimpered at the loss of Caden's lips.

Caden smiled, "Go in the passenger seat so that I can drive us to our destination."

"Yes, sir." Dean jokingly saluted before moving over to the passenger seat without getting out of the car.
