Please, Play as my Wife!

The Date

The Date

Jun 10, 2021

Caden stopped the car at an arcade, parking it. Dean looked at the building with excitement. He felt like a little kid because he barely went to arcades since his mother disapproved of them.

Seeing the smile and excited expression, Caden could not help the smile growing on his face. "I knew you would like it. They also have a mini go-kart track here."

"You are a better spoiler than me," Dean responded.

Caden softly hit Dean before saying, "Get out of the car."

Dean laughed as they got out. Once Caden locked the car doors, they walked into the arcade.

Caden was already pulling out his wallet to pay when they reached the front desk, but Dean stopped him. "You do not have to pay; I can do it."

Caden gave him a look that said, 'you better remove your hand, or I will.' So, Dean dropped his hand.

"I can play for it. I am the one who planned the date; you can pay and plan the next one."

Dean could not help smiling at the last sentence, "We haven't started the first one yet, and you already have a second date in mind?"

Caden rolled his eyes, and the man behind the desk cleared his throat to catch their attention. Dean's face turned red at that as he looked away while Caden did not give a reaction.

Once they paid and received wristbands, they walked into the food area before entering the game area. "Do you want to eat first or play?" Caden asked.

Dean shook with excitement as he looked at the game area from afar, "I want to play first."

They entered the arcade, first starting with the games they can play with their wristband.

At this arcade, people can play games by touching their wristbands to the machines. Each wristband has different colors, representing how many tokens are on them.

Orange wristbands have 50 tokens, red has 80, blue has 100, and black has 125.

Caden bought them black ones because he wanted Dean to play as many games as he could.

They first went to the Skeeball game.

They stood in front of the machine, touching their wristbands to it as the thing subtracted five tokens. Once the balls came down, Dean picked up one as he looked to Caden, "I say we have a competition with all the games."

Caden picked up one of his, tossing it up, "Hmm, what do the winner and loser get?"

"The loser has to listen to the winner's orders for a week," Dean answered.

Caden acted like he was thinking for a while before giving a broad smile, "I agree."

After that, they swiftly rolled the ball up on the thing. They both tried to reach for the highest number hole, which was 100 points.

There were only nine balls in total as they quickly went through them. Caden and Dean did not speak a word as they concentrated on the game, their competitive nature already awakening.

When the game made a sound on both machines, indicating that it ended, they moved back, finally breathing. Caden looked at his score and saw that he got 760, and when he looked over at Dean's score, the man had 740.

He had a smug smile on his face.

Dean glared when he saw that he was twenty points behind Caden. 'I will beat him in the next game.' Dean told himself before looking around. His eyes landed on another game.

Caden was getting ready to say something to rejoice in his victory when Dean spoke first. "Let's play Air Hockey."

"Okay. Get ready to be defeated." Caden spoke.

Dean rolled his eyes, "Whatever, I have you in this game."

They fast-walked to the Air Hockey game, making sure that no one took it before them. When Dean and Caden reached it, Dean put his wristband to the machine, letting the game take his tokens instead.

When the puck came out, they did not give a break as the game instantly started.

The game was intense as the tension began to rise between them. Caden and Dean were moving with quick movements as they defended their holes. Five minutes were moving into the game as neither of them made a score.

Dean clicked his tongue as his eyes followed Caden's hand movements before he finally found a spot to strike. He swiftly hit the puck hard, watching as it slides into Caden's goal without a problem.

He wanted to cheer that he made the first point but stopping himself because Caden already had the puck out and hit it towards him.

It took another five minutes when Caden made a goal this time. The game only heated up more after that as they were hitting the puck harder. Even the machine started to shake a bit.

The surrounding people watched them with amazement and fear mixed inside as they made sure to stay back. The way the machine shook did not seem safe.

Almost an hour passed when the scores finally reached 4-6. Caden was in the lead as he needed one more point to win. Dean's eyes narrowed as Caden already knew he had this in the bag.

After a few more minutes passed, Caden finally hit the puck into Dean's goal. The machine made a noise as the puck disappeared. He gave a small cheer while Dean sighed.

Dean crossed his arm, glaring at the game like it was at fault. They are already two games in, and he lost to Caden without any wins. "Don't be a sore loser, Dean; there are still other games to go," Caden told him.

"I am not," Dean muttered before his eyes landed on a game he knew he could win, "let's play Dance Dance Revolution."

Caden's smile dropped, "You know I am not good at dancing."

"I know." Dean smiled.

Caden glared before saying, "Fine. But after that, we are playing the shooting game."

Dean groaned at that because his aim sucks. But he agreed since he was making Caden play Dance Dance Revolution.

They walked over to the dancing game and started with easy mode because they would build themselves to the highest level. The one with the most games won is the winner.

Once the game started, they tied on easy mode, but as the game moved faster with the levels going up, Caden began to make mistakes. He went from hitting perfects to goods and misses.

The whole time, Dean kept hitting perfects, winning each game as the levels went up. Even as the moves got faster and the songs grew more intense, Dean did not make any mistakes as his feet hit each arrow.

When they reached the last game with the highest level, Caden was already breathing hard while sweat fell down Dean's face to his chest.

Caden wanted to give up because he already knew he lost, but the man kept trying because he was not a quitter. Dean did not take it easy, even though he knew that he was the winner, because it is always good to bring your best.

Once the game ended with Dean receiving a perfect score, Caden leaned on the game's handles as he caught his breath. He did not want to glance at his terrible score.

Dean had a smile on his face as he clapped his hands. "I win!"

"You knew you were going to win." Caden snorted as he wiped his sweat off.

Dean shrugged as he picked up the end of his shirt to wipe the sweat off his forehead. His body was on display as he showed off his lean body with a six-pack.

Caden licked his lips as his throat felt a bit dry. But when he saw that others were looking with thirst stares, he quickly sobered up. He grabbed Dean's shirt, pulling it out of his hand as he pulled it down.

"Go to the bathroom and wipe your sweat with a paper towel if you want to clean your face. Do not put your shirt up." Caden told him.

Dean put his hands up as he had an 'I surrender' expression at Caden's angry face. "Okay, I will do that next time."

Caden hummed as he moved back, "Let's go to the shooting game, then take a break to eat."

Dean nodded as he followed Caden.

After playing the shooting game that Caden won, they entered the food area again. They went to the buffet part, picking up plates as they got some food. Once Caden and Dean finished, they made their drinks and walked to a two-seat table.

When they sat down, Caden asked, "How do you like the arcade?"

"I love it. I wished I pushed myself to go during high school. But being here with you is the best." Dean answered before taking a bite of his pizza.

Caden smiled at Dean's response. He wanted to kiss the man. "You know what is going to be even better?"

"What?"

"Me winning because I am already three games ahead of you."

Dean rolled his eyes, "Whatever, wait until we go back and especially race on the go-karts."

"You cannot even drive well, so how can you win in go-karts?" Caden teased.

Dean threw a noodle at the man, who dodged the piece. "Haha," he sarcastically laughed, "watch when I beat you, you won't be saying that then."

"Yes, yes, I cannot wait."

They enjoyed their meal, talking about other things before going back to the arcade area to play the other games.

It was nighttime when they were leaving the building, walking to the car. Dean yawned as he had a big teddy bear in his arms. The stuffed animal matched his earring.

Caden stretched himself as he walked, making sure not to fall asleep since he had to drive them home.

"You know, just because you got me this teddy bear, that does not mean I will forget that you beat me," Dean spoke through another yawn. His eyes were watering from it.

"I hope you don't forget. You have to follow my orders for a week." Caden answered.

Once they reached the car, Caden unlocked the doors as he entered the front seat. Dean put the bear in the back before sitting down in the passenger seat.

As they buckled themselves up, Caden leaned over instead of driving off. He kissed Dean on the cheek before saying, "I do not know if anyone would count this as a date, but I enjoyed taking you here."

Dean turned towards him as his eyes looked like they were ready to close. "This was a perfect date. I cannot wait for our next one."

They were so close, but Caden wanted to cuddle with him instead of kissing him. "You are planning the next one."

"Hmm, I do not know how I will top this."

"Anything is fine as long as I'm with you."

Dean let out a low laugh, "How cheesy."

Caden slapped his shoulder before moving back. Dean laughed again as he leaned his head against the window, his eyes already closing.

Caden started the car as it was a quiet ride home. He did not turn on the radio because he knew that the music would make him sleepier.

Once he reached the flat, Caden parked and turned off the car. He turned, seeing that Dean was already asleep.

Caden got out of the car, closing the door. He walked to the front door, unlocking it as he hung up his keys. Caden left the door open, making his way back to the car.

He opened the passenger door, unbuckling Dean as he pulled him out. The man did not wake up as Caden held him while locking the car doors. He will come back for the bear in the morning.

He picked Dean up in a princess hold as he walked to the house, closing the door behind him. It took him a while to lock the door since he did not want to wake or drop Dean.

Once he finished, Caden walked to Dean's bedroom, opening his door as he struggled a bit. When he was inside, he softly put Dean on the bed, not taking his clothes off.

Caden was too tired himself to do it.

When he saw that Dean was good, Caden turned around, getting ready to walk off, when something grabbed his hand.

Dean's eyes were closed, but he had a firm grip on Caden's hand. "Stay." The man sleepily said.

Caden bit his lip at that before nodding, even though the man could not see it. He laid down on the bed. And instead of making Dean let go of his hand, he wrapped their fingers together as he moved closer to the man.

"Goodnight," Caden whispered. All he got was a 'hmm' in response. He quickly fell asleep.
