Year 3002
Midohira, Daikidageda
“Nice kill!” Mujika yeeted. The thrill on her face disappeared into confusion as she saw a wounded Jill run behind Jinx.
From her hideout, Rakuten saw Jill limp her way to the other end of the battle scene. “Jiz-Jizen is wounded.“ she stood up concerned. Rintaro and Kaaron tried to pull her back to safety. Rakuten whisked her wings to push them away and she started running towards Jill.
“JILL!” Sayla called her out, her eyes wide open looking at a seriously injured Jill.
“JIZENNNNNNNNNN!” Rakuten yelled as she reached closer.
“Why are you running after her?” Rakuten heard a voice.
“I must protect her. She is a frie-” Rakuten paused, “I think she is a friend.”
“This… Again?” the voice asked.
“I want to protect her.” Rakuten said confidently. “I need you.”
“You have me.” the voice said softly as Rakuten started following Jill.
Concerned, Sayla extended her tentacles to keep Rakuten from going towards Aisa. “Stop! She is stro-”
“Stop it!” the voice inside Rakuten hissed, as she involuntarily whisked Sayla away, smacking hard on her tentacles.
Sayla retracted instantly, as Rakuten’s heavy wing pushed her aside.
Rakuten continued her brisk walk towards Aisa. Rintaro was watching this from behind the bushes, hidden alongside Kaaron, Fusan, Sketa, Momoku, Kyota and the chief. Worried about Rakuten running away from him again, he leaped out of his hideout and followed Rakuten almost slamming into her, as he tried to hold her tight.
“STOP IT!” The voice inside Rakuten hissed loudly this time, pushing Rintaro away. He fell on his back, as he continued staring at Rakuten with bewildered eyes.
“Raki!” he exclaimed.
Rakuten looked back, with astonishment in her eyes.
She continued staring at Rintaro, lying on the ground, with a totally overwhelmed expression on her face. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.
“Never...” she said sternly, almost scolding her inner-self, “Never do that again!”
Rintaro got back up on his feet and walked towards Rakuten, confidently, not worrying about Rakuten hurting him again. He leaped onto her, trying to hold her, much tighter this time. Rakuten did not push him away this time. She continued standing there, not moving a muscle, as everyone gathered around them.

“Hmm… I think I am scared of you, Aisa. Is this what fear feels like?” Prassaca sighed. Terrified, she started inhaling huge breaths. She looked towards Aisa and pulled up her violin attempting to start playing again. Her fatigued fingers started sliding on the fingerboard. “Emotions… They are-” Prassaca paused, as her mouth lay wide open.
Aisa let her hair open, as a strong breeze picked up. Four limbs started budding out from her sides, which angled in parallel to her hands and legs. The fangs in her mouth grew longer. Threads of a sticky white substance started spurting out of her back and her feet, creeping swiftly in all directions. Within no time, Aisa spun a large sticky web behind her. She glared at Prassaca as a condescending smile appeared on her face.
Your powers are weak!” Aisa winked.
The sticky threads of the web continued creeping on the ground until they reached Prassaca, Jinx and Jill. As the web started curling around them, they felt their legs being twisted by the tout strings. Jill and Jinx tried balancing themselves to avoid any movement, to keep the web around their legs loose.
“Hmm… Whis is this mysterious pressure that I am fe-feeling?” Prassaca gasped, trying to take a few defensive steps, while staring at Aisa.
“Prassaca, no!” screamed Jill, “Stop moving, you are spinni-”
Prassaca’s ankle was completely entangled in the web and she fell on her knees. She grappled within the web; its complexity not allowing her to set herself free.
Aisa’s web started spinning around Jinx and Jill, surrounding them without any room of circumvention. Within moments, their limbs were covered and entangled in the web. Prassaca continued kicking her hands and legs in all directions, trying to get out of Aisa’s clutches.
“Stop moving Prassac-” Jill paused to cough, as she spat blood all around her.
Aisa started laughing hysterically, bragging about her victory.
“Hmm… I must be calm.” Prassaca tried to compose herself. She closed her eyes and focused her energy on her arms as she partially transformed.
“Based on the analysis that I have performed on the data of my previous transformations, I think I can play exactly two bars of melodies, since there is no water for me to breathe from my gills.” Prassaca paused, “My adrenaline rush will allow me to add half a bar. I must listen to her beating heart and control her until I can-” she paused, “and then she would ki-” Prassaca paused again, “kill me.”
She pulled the violin closer to her shoulders and flexed her fingers lightly. She started playing a melody which made Aisa squeal in pain. Her entire body started shivering as her head fell sideways. Aisa grabbed her head with her hands, trying to shut her ears and regain control over herself.
“You seem annoyed, Aisa. As long as you have emotions, I will control them.” Prassaca said softly. “Emotions… They are worthless.”
Aisa started to lose the grip on her web strings, allowing Prassaca to move her hands freely. An impatient Jinx spotted a glimmer of an opportunity to free himself.
“I am going for her!” Jinx announced to Jill, as he started stomping through the threads around him with his heavy foot thudding on the ground. With a noticeable amount of effort, he was able to use his brute strength to break apart the web that Aisa had spun around them. “I will try to break free from this mess and run outside to gain some momentum. Once I start charging at my full speed, I think I would be able to cut through it and send Aisa flying!” he added with a furious face. He continued smashing the web around him as he arrived at the edge of the thick network of sticky strings laid around him.
Aisa gradually started gaining control over herself as Prassaca started running out of breath. The quality of her music continued deteriorating rapidly and Aisa tightened the grip on her web once more.
In a swift motion, Aisa hurled a few sticky threads of web around Prassaca’s hands. Aisa twisted the strings further, sending waves of pain through Prassaca’s wrists. She was no longer able to hold her violin and the bow in her hand. Prassaca dropped it to the ground, rendering her strongest style of defense useless.
Suddenly, Aisa twitched as she crouched low towards the ground. “Is this the strong sense of my spider?” she whispered. She closed her eyes and focused her mind on the faint rhythmic vibrations she was able to feel moving towards her.
“Is someone running towards me?” Aisa irked.
She continued glaring at Prassaca, trying to choke her gradually. Aisa opened her mouth and scooted closer to Prassaca.
“You have not felt any emotions, eh? I cannot wait to show you some.” Aisa said coldly.
“But before that,” she paused, without looking backwards, “I must do something about this annoying rhinoceros!” In a flash, she sent sticky white threads of her web flying around Jinx, who had approached inches closer to her. Jinx was immobilized, completely trapped in Aisa’s web that was spun in his way.
