I can feel myself changing

My mind rearranging

My thoughts into something new

And it’s all because of you

This world’s new design

And your touch, so benign

Your breath comes slow and softly

I’m a mess, I know this more than most

I am a virus and you are the host

And though the pain cuts truly and deeply

You can still see beneath the 

Suffering and anxiety

To the me that’s truly happy

Just to be held in your arms

In all reality

The only place I can be happy

Is when you are by my side

Yet when we are apart

I can still hear the beating of your heart
