'Oi, Oi. What's all this? I have been doing all that hard practice for the last three years and this one strike almost nullified all that donkey work.' Shin thought, shocked due to the slander of his dedication.

'But I didn't even fight him. He was just holding that sleazy stick and giving mana to it. Anyways, can I use magic now?' Shin asked Eve.

'At last, I will be able to use magic. It's time to test it on this stick.' Shin thought.

'Dad, can we do it one last time? I have somewhat got a gist of what you told me.' Shin asked Adel.

"Of course, I am always ready. We can do it a thousand more times if you want, you know." Adel said while showing a proud smile.

'Well, maybe later.' Shin thought.

Shin corrected his stance and began to focus on the flow of mana in his body.

'Whoaa, I can feel it. This tickling feeling in my body, it's like I can hear it flowing in my veins.' Shin thought.

'Now, I need to shape this mana over my sword, right? Hmm, okay then, let's coat it with sharp edges.' Shin thought and started to shape up the flow of mana on the sword. Soon after, the sword was covered with a thin layer, can't be seen with a naked eye, of mana and Shin geared up to attack.

He stepped a long foot and twisted his sword. With the second step, he turned the tip of the sword in the front and sliced the stick with it.

As the sword touched the stick, a brisk wave of wind was generated that also cut the flower pot and the upper area of the fence wall parallel to it.

'Holy cow. What the hell was that? Although I swung it with some force to cut the stick without a miss, I didn't know the wave will clean shave all in the line.' Shin thought agape in shock.

"Whoaaaa, amazing. It was a great and powerful combination of power and magic. Nonetheless, I presumed that you won't be able to do it." Adel grabbed him from below his hands and started swinging him in the air.

'Well, I also didn't expect it to happen, but please stop swinging me. I don't want to puke out.' Shin said while trying to calm his body.

"What happened? Why are you shouting? Oh my, who broke my precious collection?" Claire came running out and soon after Wayne also joined them.

"Oh, damn." Adel's expression changed after he sobered up from his excitement.

"And this one was my favorite." Claire wailed while glaring at Adel.

"Well, you know. Things happened and it broke during the practice. Really sorry for that" Adel said and bent his upper body to apologize.

"What will that do? You could have practiced in the field. Why did you start brawling here?" Clair shouted showing no trace of calmness.

"I would have done that but I didn't know that Shin will be able to exert this much power in his age. Adel said.

'Ehh?'

"What do you mean by that?" Claire asked.

"I am saying that Shin can use magic to the extent where he can cut through the wall at his age. We should be happy that our child is this gifted, right?" Adel tried to change the flow.

'Damn. He is trying to gobble me with him. Who does that to their kid? Shameless man.' Shin thought.

"Is he telling the truth, Shin?" Claire looked at Shin and asked him seriously.

'Ye- yes I did it. But that was by mistake, I am so-'

Claire's face took a one-eighty degree turn and she hugged Shin tightly. 

"Ah, you did that. You are already this strong. I am so lucky to have two-two wonderful children with me. Come on, I will make something special today for the celebration." Claire said while hugging him more tightly.

'Looks like I am in the safe zone. Although, this hug will suffocate me.' Shin thought.

"It's really a good day, right?" Adel said.

"Yes, it is. But not for you. Fix that wall and also get me a new vase now, as soon as possible, or else we will finish the dinner by ourselves," Claire said angrily to Adel.

"That's..."

Claire glared at him.

"Yes, I am going. I will bring it as soon as possible." Adel ran towards the market hurriedly.

Claire, Wayne, and Shin looked at each other and started laughing.

'This really is a great start!' Shin thought.

A man, with a long white beard and a cap on his head, entered the town. He was carrying a bag with a long strap hanging on his shoulders. 

"Come on, we are almost there. Move your legs a little bit more." He said looking back to a child who was walking behind him silently.

The kid was wearing normal clothes and was walking without heeding the surroundings. They both entered the town.

"It's been a while since I visited like a guest here. Nonetheless, now that we are here, may as well decide the future for these people." He said with a smile.

"..." 

The boy didn't respond and looked straight.

"Hmm, looks like the story will end before it begins." He said and moved towards the house of the chief of the town.
