Historical Note: Withering Depths gets its name from the Fleen itself. At harvest time the deep sea plant withers away after passing all of its nutrients to the purple fruit that it has nurtured. The fruit breaks free from the sea floor and rushes to surface. This combination of death and life-giving sustenance has strongly influenced the people of Anator and their culture.
