As the digital clock went loud. A slim hand hit the clock shutting it dead. A groan of annoyance came out of the girl laying on the bed. She rested on her back moving her black wavy hair away from her oval face, she yawned loud as she stretched her body waking herself up more. She opened her big eyes and looked at the ceiling urging herself to get out of bed.

She yawned again and got out of her bed heading to the bathroom. She walked into a long hall, passing by one door, she wasn’t looking at it. She raised her hand to knock but stopped when another girl’s voice came out of the end of the hall where there was the rest of the apartment.

“I’m already up don’t take too long Dareen; I’ve already made tea and breakfast.” Dareen smiled, moving her hair behind her ears, and waited for her to speak again. “I’m nervous! Don’t judge me.”

Dareen walked to the end of the hall popping her head to look at the girl sitting at the dining table scrolling through her phone, she looked up and right at her. “What?” she had long dark red hair in a high ponytail showing her small heart-shaped face.

“Nothing, it’s nice seeing you that nervous.”

“It’s been seven years since I was there, too many memories.”

“It’s gonna be okay, I’m with you this time around,” Dareen said.

“That’s what worries me the most.” Dareen frowned and took off one of her slippers and throw it at her, it hit her shoulder as she laughs.

“Did anyone ever tell you how an ass you are Nellie? Give me back my slipper please.”

Nellie laughed harder and threw the slipper back to Dareen and said, “Only you.”

Dareen left to head to the bathroom while Nellie kept scrolling.  She stopped when a text message popped into her screen, she read it fast and then dialed a number. “Don’t worry we won’t be late, why are you yelling? I already told you everything will work out, just trust me! Okay…. Okay, bye.”

Dareen went back and sat on the chair next to her grabbing one sandwich to eat, she eyed Nellie who seemed less nervous. She noticed the name on the screen before it went black and said, “She is nervous more than you.”

“She’s scared not nervous,” Nellie said and held her tea taking a small sip.

“It’s not gonna be an easy transformation but it’s time, we gave them two years to get ready, we can’t be late even one day.” Nellie agreed with her and started eating as well. “I don’t know how the rest will adapt but they trust them, and we should too.”

“You don’t sound convinced,” Nellie said with a full mouth.

“We know everything we need to know about them, but you know me, I need to see by my own eyes to believe.” She took a sip and stood up. “I will go change; we don’t have much time.”
