“I have not abandoned you” X whispered
in her ear “You just have not fulfilled your end of the
deal”
“But I killed him,” Akilah said vexed. “I did it! I did what I was told”
“I said kill whoever enters through that door. Two men
entered, only one is dead”
Akilah felt chills running down her spine. “You don't mean that I'll have
to...Kill the other...?”
“Yes, and from what I can see you need to hurry,
because your second victim is coming back”
With that Akilah felt his presence disappear once again ‘Damn it’ Akilah
became a mix of annoyance and fear, she did not have a plan this time. Akilah
was scared because she did not know if she had it in her to commit another
murder. ‘What if another person enters instead? Do I have to kill them too?’.
Akilah had no time to dwell on the matter, as she heard hurried footsteps
approaching the room. Akilah had managed to go and hide behind the door in the
nick of time.
The door opened, and an audible gasp could be heard. A guard entered; Akilah
examined him from behind. She was not completely sure but it looked to be the
same guard as before, Akilah felt a hint of relief ‘I will not have to kill
yet another person’
The guard slowly approached the now dead prisoner and bent down for a closer
check. ‘Now is my chance’ Akilah thought. She crept up behind him just
close enough for her knife to reach him.
*slice*
This time her aim was much better, and she sliced him in his back. The guard turned around and Akilah slashed his throat, blood shooting everywhere. Akilah did not know if she had to stab him some more, like she had done with the prisoner. He was on the floor desperately holding his throat. ‘Is it really necessary? Do I... Need to stab him more¨?’ Akilah looked at the knife in her hand and then back at the guard that was turning paler and paler by the second. ‘Better safe than sorry’ Akilah said as she raised the knife for a second attack, and another, and another, repeated.
“Wow, you are becoming a full-on criminal
now”
Akilah stopped and looked around, she now felt X’s presence again.
“I mean he was already dying after the second attack,
was the other seven really that necessary?” He asked in a jokingly
manner.
“It's better to be safe than sorry” Akilah answered as she got up from the floor.
“Yes, yes indeed I heard you try to justify your behavior”
“I just did what you asked me to do”
“No what I asked was for you to kill them, not turn
them into minced meat” He said with a laughing tone.
“I just did what you asked me to do” Akilah said in monotone voice.
*LAUGHTER* “YES! This is
the Akilah I want!” X Yelled out while laughing.
Akilah could feel his presence growing
"Not the ‘too scared to skin a rabbit’ Akilah. But
the ruthless revenge seeking Akilah"
That struck a nerve with Akilah and shook her from her mindless state, almost
as if waking up from a dream. But this was not a dream Akilah soon realized, as
she looked around the room and then down at herself dripped in blood, this was
a nightmare. She threw away the knife and backed up against the wall, dropping
down and hiding her face in her palms. This was reality. She had just killed
two men in cold blood.
