The greying team leader and narrow-eyed second approached the subject slowly while the rest of the team stayed back at the forest edge. It may have been a creepy forest, may have unnerved the leader more than he would ever admit, but it was the preferable option should the encounter go poorly. As they approached the subject, her details came into focus. She was an average five foot three, with clear pale skin, long golden hair and eyes like stormclouds. She was dressed in a plain white dress and nothing else. Reinard could see her bare feet smothered in soft grass and her shins patched with silt from the lake. She stood tall and still as they approached, her dress blowing softly in the wind. The team leader decided then, as he and his second stopped a short distance away from her, that this is not an experience he would like repeated. Though everything was going smoothly, there was an air of mystery about this particular subject that was likely dangerous and also likely nothing they had seen before. He decided, also, that he would much rather turn and leave the subject there than take her back with them.
Something I write in my free time. Chapters are very short and likely will stay that way.
S.H.I.E.L.D. kind of team but with a fantasy spin.
This special ops team gets a report of an undocumented supe and goes to investigate. What they find is a can of worms they didn't bargain for and a girl of oddities.
