The subject named Willow delicately walked across the clearing, through the wildflowers, and began humming to herself a tune neither Reinard or Lokni knew. To say it put them on edge was an understatement. They had little to no information on Willow’s power, only something to do with nature or possibly the forest itself. For all they knew, her humming could be her way of controlling the glen around them. As nothing seemed to be happening though, Reinard and Lokni follwed the slight girl. They reached the rest of the team and Reinard quickly introduced the group. “This is Mela, she’s one of our scientists. This is Donn, combat, and Kierra, combat.” And with a nod to each of them, Willow turned and made her way to the forest edge. The team eyed each other in silent communication. This what not how these interactions with new supes usually went. Willow gently touched a hand to the closest tree and the wind picked up a bit. “Willow, I would advise you against using your power. We may have to sedate you.” By the end of his sentence he was nearly screaming over the wind and Donn and Kierra had their guns drawn and pointed. Willow turned her head back toward him and gave a small smile. The wind died in an instant. The team was rustled but otherwise well and quite pleased with themselves for having reasoned with this wild girl. Until she spoke. “Ah but it will be much simpler to get to your jet now.” And with that she turned back and headed through what seemed like a small path that had appeared through the woods.
Something I write in my free time. Chapters are very short and likely will stay that way.
S.H.I.E.L.D. kind of team but with a fantasy spin.
This special ops team gets a report of an undocumented supe and goes to investigate. What they find is a can of worms they didn't bargain for and a girl of oddities.
