A few months have passed since I gained my god, it’s been a whirlwind of a ride but I have been studying and training non-stop. Including learning about the empires.
‘I’m so tired’ I sigh as I lay my head on the book I was meant to be reading, while Fawn was currently wiping the board.
“Princess! Please refrain from drooling over the books!” She yells causing me to jump up instantly, I pout and cross my arms.
“I wasn’t drooling” she rolls her eyes in response. As I turned my head because I heard the sound of panting I noticed that Mura was currently running towards me. Quickly jumping in my lap he licks my cheek.
“Who’s a good boy?” I snuggle him while patting down his soft fur.
*HUFF HUFF*
I look up as I notice Larson was currently standing in the doorway, red as a pepper and sweating profusely. I smirk to myself knowing it was pay back.
“How, how, can that, thing, run so damn, fast” he huffs loudly while falling to his knees in shock. I giggle towards Mura who was currently wagging his tail which grew extra long In these past months.
“Good boy you teach that horrible man a lesson” Fawn chews towards Larson, which makes his expression drop to a scowl.
“He’s gotten big” I comment, now understanding what they meant by they grow three times the size of an average wolf.
“Well he’s been doing well, he listens to you, and hasn’t shown any sense of hostility towards the royal family” she smiles at me.
“Enough with the chatting! We need to practice some more magic. Let’s head out to the training grounds!” She smirks knowing how tired I am already.
‘She’s trying to kill me’
….
As we all made our way out to the training grounds the fresh cooling spell hit us all, which instantly made us relax. Looking ahead I noticed Altan was currently in the middle of his training, so we decided to watch till he was finished.
As I watched him I realised how much further ahead he was than me, he could control his magic power around his body like it was another limb.
[darkness form]
He orders his spell with such a strong voice. I watch as four, no five shadow mummies appear from the darkness, they all move to Altan's will, surrounding him and protecting him like knights.
[dark shots]
I watched as the mummies jumped instantly at the sound of his command and attacked the practice dummies with shadow blasts. It all happened so fast I could barely keep up, the only thing I could feel was the backlash of the blast which sent a strong wind heading straight my way. Fawn reacting quickly held up a barrier for the wind to disperse and not harm anyone.
Altan took a breath before retracting his spell and wiping the growing sweat from his forehead he took a sip of water. Knowing he was done I headed over and caught his attention. Although we were very young he seemed so mature.
“Amaris! I’m so happy to see you!” He smiles brightly towards me while pulling me into a sweaty hug.
“Ewww your all sweaty and stinky!” I moan while trying to pull away from his grasp, he mumbles sorry while pulling away and throwing his hands up in defence.
“Ooo you brought Mura!” He says in excitement while holding out a hand to ask Mura if it’s okay to touch him, which he did.
“Are you here to train?” He asked me, I nodd in response.
“I need to catch up to you!” I frown while pouting, he chuckles before rubbing my head.
“You should see Ordell, he’s someone I wish I could be as good as!” He comments while looking as if he was in thought.
Ordel is the oldest which means he’s had many years to Practice his power, and being as his god has the power of soul and aura manipulation means he’s really strong.
“Okay princess time for your lesson, sorry prince” Fawn bows while apologizing to Altan, he nods before taking his leave.
As we stand in the training pit we gain our Bearings before attempting spells.
“Okay princess, as the god of magic itself had chose you, it means you have to learn a lot”
‘I already know that, I’m practically dying and I’m only four!’ I wince at the thought.
“At the moment I just want you to learn the basics such as water, fire, earth and wind”
‘Basics!!’
“These four elements are the base of every magical spell, anything to do with shadows, hearing, gravity and more all come from these base elements”
Fawn isn’t wrong, every magical spell always tracts back to these four elements, but I think I need to remind everyone.
‘I AM ONLY FOUR!’
“We will start with wind. I want you to hold out your hand and imagine the feeling of a breeze coming from you. Wind is the element of freedom. You cannot be stiff, you have to feel the element and let it flow Naturally” Fawn spoke, now holding out her palm up she demonstrates.
[Windpool]
As soon as she said those words a massive tornado came shooting out of her palm, she retracted it after a matter of seconds.
‘So strong’ she nodded towards me to let me know it’s my turn.
Now holding my palm up to the sky, I closed my eyes and focused on the mana inside my body. I remembered her words to feel free and let it flow naturally. As I continued to do this the image of a soft white wind clouded my mind and wrapped itself around me, it felt cool and refreshing but also free.
[Windpool]
As I spoke the pressure of a strong current came gushing out of my hands, unlike Fawns which was controlled the tornado was going so crazy, I felt like my hand would snap off. Maybe it was because of my small frame but I don’t think I could handle the strain of my power yet.
“Despell!” I heard Fawn shout which instantly cancelled out my own power, this only works when your not in control. She quickly ran over to me and grabbed my small hand to look at any damage, I looked down and noticed small grazes as if I was cut with glass.
“When I mean let it flow naturally, I don’t mean to not control it” she tells me off which causes me to bite my inner cheek.
“I didn’t realise how strong your power is already princess, we need to take precautions otherwise you could Experience incredible damage to your body!” She moans while healing my hand.
It’s true, I have this powerful god inside of me and my small body cannot handle the pressure from the power, how am I meant to train.
“Let’s stop here today princess, I think I need to find a way to help you without getting you hurt” Fawn smiled while patting my head.
…
As I made my way to my room to finally have a rest I remembered that Chance should be visiting soon.
‘Maybe I should make him a gift’
“Hello Princess, how are you feeling after training?” Olive smiled towards me, I responded by walking over to my bed and falling flat on my face.
“Not good?” She asks while patting down my hair, I nodded into the sheet.
“Well prince Chance should be coming at the end of the week, isn’t that great!” She yells excitedly.
“That reminds me, I wanted to get him a gift, have any idea?” I ask while sitting up and laying my head on her lap. She took a moment to think.
“How about we head into the capital, we could get him a magical charm!” She comments while acting as if a lightbulb fell upon her head.
‘Hmm a magical charm, that doesn’t sound too bad’
“Okay can we go tomorrow” I smiled while snuggling into her lap, I slowly fell into a deep slumber.
…..
Northern empire. Blyur POV.
As I sleep, my dreams have become more vivid. A small child with many lives, she’s a wandering soul that does not belong and will bring about my downfall.
“Princess Amaris, or how about wandering soul, you will die before you can think about my downfall” Blyur swears while staring out into the snow covered land.
