There are many mysteries in this world but, none are as intriguing as the 'Sanctuaries' these den-like structures emit a strange and dangerous aura across the lands. This mysterious aura has proven to be fatal to its surroundings. Their aura's source lies within the beasts which inhabit these sanctuaries.

For centuries the Kingdom Alzer had the Sanctuaries right under their noses until they discovered them in the year X721. In which they found the need to stop them. On further investigation, they found out that they had to slay the beasts which reside within them to stop the aura from spreading.

After the beasts were slain, their eyes turn into valuable gemstones. These gemstones, when imbued with different magic, could be used in many ways. Evey sanctuary had an Alpha, an overpowered beast that, when slain, would reduce the aura of these sanctuaries tremendously. These alphas would also give out small spheres called 'Beast Orb". When a person consumed a beast orb, they would obtain special powers similar to that of the beast.

People went through trials and vigorous training to qualify as Slayers and enter Sanctuaries. Even though it is an honor to be a Slayer. It was not easy because they have to be mentally and physically strong, as anything can happen in the Sanctuaries.

 

There have been reports of slayers who had their souls consumed by beasts. This overwhelmed them with greed and made them kill their allies.
