Adam watched as Brian went inside to go find Tyler.

“Aye...sometimes I can’t help but worry…”

Usui gave him a headtilt.

“Why’s that?”

“I don’t know..it’s just...Tyler’s my baby brother, and with Mom and Dad at work most of the time now...it would personally kill me inside if he gets hurt on my watch..”

“You’re just protective of him, I get that. But you also have to keep in mind that Tyler’s almost 18 and can easily take care of himself now.”

“Bah. I know but-“

“You’re worried he’ll get himself into a situation that he can’t get out of. You fear you won’t be there to protect him when he needs it.”

Usui tried to piece together his thoughts.

“You’re fearful of being left behind and that he won’t need you anymore, aren’t you?”

Adam looked down and reluctantly nodded his head.

“...Yeah…”

Usui got up on all fours, as he was still in feral form from flying Brian to their house from the beginning. He went to Adam and laid his head on his lap as he turned over onto his back, nudging him.

“And that’s an understandable fear to have. Actually, it’s a pretty normal one for a lot of people. But y’know, I don’t think you’ll have a lot to be afraid of. Tyler tells me so much about you.”

He’d look down, putting his guitar to the side and gently stroking his fingers through the dutchie’s fur.

“Really?”

“Yeah. He very much looks up to you, so there’s no need for you to be thinking what you’re thinking. As long as you remain his loving, protective older brother, he’ll know that you’ll be there for him, no matter what.”

The wolf-husky mix would give him a gentle smile.

“..Thanks, Usui.”

The dutch angel dragon gently nuzzled him.

“It’s no problem.”

Adam looked down at him.

“Also..would you mind doing me a favor?”

“Sure, what?”

“Just remember to keep Tyler and Brian out of trouble on the trip for me, will ya?”

The dutchie chuckled.

“Of course. You can count on this dutchie for sure!”
