“You know... We promised to go to prom together. About that… Umm...” he approached Olivia, while she was rummaging through her locker. Late for that class, she hated so much.
“Since we were 5. How could I not rememb-” she attempted to say.
“I like her.” Miller exclaimed in an empty hallway, interrupting Olivia. “I swear, Liv... I didn't forget our promise but... I really want to go with her.” his eyes weren't focused on her at that moment. They were lingering somewhere far away from her grasp.
“It’s fine, we are all grown up now. I understand!” she said while holding back her tears.
It was helpless, she didn't have the option to say “Don’t go”. He would go with her…
Her answer didn't matter.
He left. Breaking his precious vase, he cared so much for.
“At least he is happy.” she grinned. Saying goodbye and storing her sadness for later, she had to go to class at least.
Her grades were the only thing she had left, and even in that field… She would never be Serina.
