The next morning I found myself in my own bed, being shaken awake by Concord and Sylvia. When I opened my eyes, I couldn’t even look at Bell without my face heating up. We were in spells, and Bell walked over to us, “Hey, Vera can you stop leaving your stuff on the floor.” she requested.
What? My stuff, I’m very neat, honestly, she- I cut my thoughts off when I realized that it wasn’t the fact that she wanted to tell me to stop leaving my stuff on the floor, it’s that she wanted to talk to me, maybe?
I felt my face go warm at the thought, I nodded in response. “Are you okay?” she questioned, “You look a little sick.”
“I-I’m good.” I stuttered out.
“Shall I take you to the nurse's office?”
“Jeez Bell, pi-” I cut Concord off, not wanting to make Bell angry.
“Sh-she’s right, I-I don’t feel well.” I covered.
“Oh, then we’ll take you.” Sylvia offered apologetically.
“N-no, that’s fine, B-Bell can do it.”
“Okay, but if anything happens to my friend here, we’re go-” I cut Concord off again, hoping to avoid world war three.
“Don’t worry, l-let’s go Bell.” I ordered. Bell dragged me off to the infirmary, picking me up and laying me down on the bed. “W-wait we’re actually just here to relax, w-we’re not here to ya know.” I shrugged one shoulder, allowing her to infer.
“Nah, I might’ve gone too far last night, so why don’t you just, like, sleep.” she suggested. I liked the idea so I shrugged and placed my head on the pillow, falling asleep immediately.
At least half an hour later I awoke to a hand gripping mine loosely. I looked down to see Bell asleep with her head on the bed. I shifted slightly to get up, but was stopped when I heard her mumble. I turned around to look at her and found that she was awake, “M-morning.” I greeted.
“Hi, how’d you sleep?” She responded.
“F-fine.” I stuttered out, looking away. She climbed onto the bed and we started making out. Before we could go further, she placed me on her lap, after this we continued.
Concord PoV
I looked over to Sylvia when Ms. Delilah was looking away, “Vera and Bell have been gone for a while. Should we be worried?” I asked.
“Maybe, go check, I’ll cover for you.” I nodded and tiptoed out of the classroom. I rushed off to the infirmary and saw one bed that was covered by a curtain. I swooped it open, “Ver-“ I cut myself off when I saw Vera and Bell making out, “Uh, uhm, uh. We- uh- ahem, well this is just a tad bit awkward. I’ll just, uh, imma just, uh, yeah imma just go. Have fun.” I said nervously. I shuffled away before sitting back down next to Sylvia.
“So, is she okay?” Sylvia asked. I nodded slightly, going back to reading my book. “Why do I feel like you’re lying?”
“Me, lie? Never.” I said in a sarcastic voice.
“Okay, I’m going.” She stated, standing up and starting to walk away. I tried to tell her not to, but my thoughts never escaped my lips. Instead the air started to swirl around her, and lifted her up, “Woah, hey! What the hell is this?!” She yelled. The air dragged her back and placed her in her chair, my eyes went wide in surprise. “What the fuck was that?!”
Ms. Delilah walked over to our table, “Concord! Why did you do that?” She questioned angrily.
“Um, uh, what?” I asked, completely confused.
“You were the one who did that, correct?” she questioned.
“No, that wasn-” I was cut off when the bell rang, signaling for us to go to our next class.
“Concord Lance, detention after school!” Ms. Delilah exclaimed. I groaned, but agreed.
“It wasn’t even my fault.” I muttered as Sylvia and I waddled off to our next class.
“It’s okay, I believe you.” She slung her arm over my shoulder apologetically. Vera caught up with us, Bell going to her next class.
