Since Keith and Lance had the same potions class, professor Slav assigned the homework that they were meant to search the properties of the ingredients for the potion they were going to learn in their next class, the wideye potion. Both Gryffindor’s were heading to the library since the homework was in pairs and each pair had to search one of the ingredients. Lance wanted to choose Pidge since his fellow Slytherin classmate is his friend, but professor Slave made the pairs, so he was stuck with the mullet head, but Lance wasn’t the only one who was not happy about it either, Keith was feeling a bit uncomfortable with his partner. They haven’t been friends for long, but at least it was with someone he already knew.
They entered the library in hopes to find the book in herbology they needed to finish their assignment quickly, but the library was full of fourth-graders and, every single book of herbology were taken from the shelves or borrowed.

-Ju-ust great! Now what!? – Lance looked at Keith confused; it was obvious they had to wait for one of the books to get free, but maybe that would take a while, and the assignment is for tomorrow.

-Well, it looks like we’ll have to wait until one book is free for us to use. – Lance said calmly.

-But that might take hours, and the homework is for tomorrow. – Keith was really annoyed, he wanted to make the investigation at ease and not in a hurry, but there wasn't much to do. – Maybe we can get some information from a potion’s book.

-Great idea Keith! That way, maybe we can start to do some research while one of them gets unoccupied.
And they started searching for books that contained any information about wolfsbane, the topic they were looking for but, unfortunately, there wasn’t much information. Hours passed, but any of the books got free, so they started their writing with what they had because it was getting late.

-This is so frustrating like…like – Keith started saying, annoyed and weary.

-Like what's the point of studying magic if we can't use it while studying! – Lance continued his sentence.

-Exactly! Thank you, Lance! – Keith shouted, but the librarian shut them up. They were sitting on the floor, looking into another potions book when Lance noticed something.

-I don´t understand, this book says the potion needs aconite and this one says that it needs monkshood, but the professor told us to search for wolfsbane. – Lance was really confused, also tired, but that didn't help either.

-It´s the different names that are given. – Keith told him calmly, but Lance was starting to stress.

-But why so many names!? It doesn't make any sense!

-Look Lance, the monkshood name I don't have any idea why they call it like that, but I do know that the common name for the plant is aconite. Doe to it also being used in a potion named wolfsbane potion, they also call it wolfsbane. – Keith turned to him, taking him by the arms to calm him down, but Lance wraps his arms around Keith's waist and hugs him.

-Wow! Keith, you are a genius! – Lance tells him excited and then, he gives him a little kiss on the cheek to thank him. – I’ll go see if any herbology book is free. – And that way Lance lives a very flustered and confused Keith laying on the floor.

Another hour passed, Keith was still a bit uneasy about what happened earlier, but he didn’t want to get distracted anymore, they were running out of time and they were going to give up with their assignment when a fourth-year Slytherin girl came near them. She had black long hair tied in a braid, dark brown eyes, and a slim but toned body. She leaned forward and stretched out a book to them.

-I saw you two earlier searching for a herbology book, and I thought that you really needed it, so I hurry up with my assignment so you could borrow it. – Then she smiles at them.

-But others are still here, are you sure about this? – Lance didn't want to jeopardize anyone else’s work.

-Of course! I told you, I have already finished, so it's all yours. – She moved her a little bit closer and shake it, so they would take the book. Lance was still doubtful, but he takes it.

-Thanks! – They both say.

-You´re welcome! – And with that, she turns around and lives.

After a long and tiresome day, they can finally finish their work and head back to their dorms before the night completely falls over the young Gryffindors.
