“Oh,
uh…. Well Samson was this guy that supposed to have lived a really
long time ago. The legend say that he was strong enough to tear down
stone temples and stuff. I figured if we’re
going to be strong like him and since I already have a name, you
should have it.”
I explained to it.
PROCESSING.
. .
. . .
INPUT ACCEPTED.
UNIT IS NOW NAMED
SAMSON.
PROCEEDING TO PILOT REGISTRATION.
PLEASE ENTER NAME.
“My
name is Tomas. T-o-m-a-s.”
PILOT
‘TOMAS’ REGISTERED AND ACCEPTED.
PROCEEDING
RECONFIGURE CURRENT FIT TO BETTER
MATCH
PILOT ‘TOMAS’ DIMENSIONS.
I
felt the
insides of the robotic suit shift and change as Samson shrank down to
better match my size. Or, at least, I think it was shrinking down
to my size. I really couldn’t tell for sure since I had no point of
reference and I couldn’t see outside either.
The
wires let me go near the end of the process and, when Samson was
done, the robot’s insides fit me like a glove.
RE-CONFIGURING COMPLETE.
CONTINUING
TO BONDING PROCESS.
“You
need to bond with me?” I asked it.
YES.
THE BONDING PROCESS IS
REQUIRED FOR MY USE AND THE PRESERVATION OF MY PILOT IN CASE OF
INJURY.
“Is
it going to hurt?”
PROCESSING. . .
YES.
SOME
PARTS OF IT WILL ‘HURT’.
THEY WILL HURT A LOT.
“Alright.
I’m
not
looking forward to that but, if that’s what it takes to use you to
rescue my friends, then so be it.”
I
told Samson.
PILOT TOMAS’S ACCEPTATION OF BONDING PROCESS CONFIRMED.
CONTINUING TO FIRST
STAGE.
COLLECTION OF PILOT
