“You are correct. I am communicating with you via direct stimulation of you auditory nerves through the connection.” Samson replied.

     “I see.” I said as I moved on to test out moving in the suit. “Why is everything so stiff?”

     “Stiffness is do to the low assimilation level of your skeletal muscles. Normal mobility for you should be achieved around 30 to 40 percent at the current configuration of the assimilation process. Full enhanced mobility and freedom of movement would need at least 60% assimilation.” Samson explained.

     “Alright. We should get going, Samson.” I said as I turned to get us out of the forest and closer to my friends. “I don’t supposed you have some sort of auto pilot feature? I was hoping to talk and sort things out while we’re traveling without having to focus on what we doing to get there.”

     “Let me check my systems…” There was a long pause before Samson responded again. “Yes, I am capable of taking control of our movements like you suggest but I require your permission and general guidance to keep us on track to where you want us to go.”

     “Then you have my permission to use it.” I told Samson. There was a jolt as it took over our movements and our pace increased slightly. The downside was the movements were rather jerky and not at all smooth.

      “I apologize for the rough ride, Tomas. My control should smooth out with practice and the level of assimilation with your body.” Samson told me.

     “It’s fine.” I replied. “But speaking of which…. How long do you think the process will take before its done?”

     “Current level is 24% and rising at the current rate of 1% per one of earth’s minutes. Estimated time to reach 60% roughly 35 minutes. Estimated time until 100% assimilation 75 minutes.” He said as we approached the edge of the forest.
