So, it turns out I excel at most things to do with running. I have speed and stamina, but my agility is the best by far.
I have good core strength, but lack arm strength. It was very embarrassing when Archer expected us to do 50 pull ups up to a tree branch. I could get around 5 in before I had to let go. Why was he working a whole bunch of bratty children so hard?
The young knights weren't as cooperative as I thought they would be. They were salty they didnt get to spar with each other using their powers. But eventually, Archer got them to participate. It's progress, but we still have a long way to go before they can properly use their powers and start training with them, let alone start sparring.
Now the day was over, and it was time for the young knights to go home.
"We will have to wait a while longer, Robin." Archer said, as he walked over to the front of the field. I followed, and we stopped in front of a few kids. Luca, Ace, and Kai were all waiting, along with a few other kids I couldn't name. Kai and Ace were a bit further away from the other kids, looking like they wanted to keep it that way.
"They're running late today." One of the girls said. She sounded worrried, like the worst could've happened, and of course, with the way we lived it might've.
Luca snorted. "Don't worry, Kai and Acy-boy will be left behind before we are." He glared over at them. He seemed to despise them.
"Here they are." Archer stated. A small chunk of students broke away from the large group, and followed a man and a woman. They were energy linked as well, I could see the marks of their arms also. As they were walking away, I saw a pin attched to the clothes and bags of the children, they must be part of a rich family home, it wouldn't be surprising. I heard that the children who live their have rich parents, or had rich parents. Respected knights would send their children to family homes so they could continue their work undisturbed, some never came back.
Another couple arrived, and another chunk of kids left with them, until around 7 were left.
The sun was starting to set by the time the time the last couple arrived.
"I'm so sorry," I curly haired woman stated. "The humans have been getting into our routes, we had to find a way around them. They're getting closer to the training fields day by day, I'm worried they will find it, and attack."
"Have you informed the gerneral of this?" Archer questioned anxiously.
"Of course, she's working on upping the defences, we can't risk losing our young knights, we'll lose everything if we lose them." The lady replied.
The couple walked away with 6 of the 7 children, leaving Kai all alone. He stood still, staring blanky at the ground. Did he have anywhere to go? Ace looks back at him a few times, before he turned around and walked up to him. He whispered something in his ear. He grabbed Kai softly by the hand and lead him off of the field towards the small group.
"His grandfather was the mentor. His father didn't want him, so he had no where to go. Ace suggested he stays with them. He was a bit nervous just then." Archer sighed. "Well, we should go home now. I want to have a warm bath and some food, and then sleep. Today was so dificult." He whined.
I shook my head and let myself be dragged back home. It took longer than expected, because we had to take a different route, but we got home safely.
"Come on, bath time." Archer said happily.
He was way to exited for a bath, I rolled my eyes.
Robin was raised as a peasant in the magical Opal Kingdom. He has jet-black hair like most of the peasant, but his eyes are pale and he lacks the ability to talk, this has resulted in him not having any friends (with Archer as an exception). He developed the powerful gift to detect the difference from each voice he hears. This has lead him to overhear terrible and frightening plans .
Archer was raised to be a skilled knight for the Opal Kingdom. He is tall with a solid build and dark brown hair. Archer was born with the ability to read peoples minds -a very useful power for a knight-. He developed a strong relationship with Robin after he realised Robin could communicate with him telepathically..
The people of Opal were forced to flee suddenly, after a human invasion on the kingdom. The king was slaughtered and many were taken hostage to be used for their power. Those who fled are hidden amongst the humans.
Robin has promised himself that he'll protect his people, and eventually (with the help of Archer) restore the kingdom to it's former glory.
