“You’ll need to get your new friend a home.” Said the Tinkerer.
Liam didn’t like the way he said that.
“Oh, that’s easy. He can stay with you.” Rinth said with a smirk.
“You gotta be crazy woman!” he yelled. “I ain’t sharing with anyone. Surely you have another house in this --- of yours.”
“Mayhaps. But I doubt I’ll find it in a reasonable time and Gwendolyn is still out hunting, he needs somewhere to lie low until I teach her that he belongs here now.”
“I-” Liam was ignored when he tried giving his own opinion on the matter.
“I thought you said a bit. This isn’t a day-care. Kid looks like he’ll die in here if you leave him alone.”
“Like you didn’t? He’s hardier than he looks. Besides, he can’t go back. He’s been ---.”
“I hate it when you’re right.”
With more grumbling, the Tinkerer got out of his chair and started to walk back through the house.
“Do you want a tour or not?” he called to Liam.
Rinth shooed him with a smile, already heading back towards the entrance of the building.
“Where does she live?” Liam couldn’t help but ask. Surely, it’d be better to stay with someone who actually liked him.
“She’s ---. It’s more correct to ask where she doesn’t.” The Tinkerer said with a frown.
“I wasn’t expecting her to tell you so little.”
