“I'll give it to you, I didn't think you'd pull it off.” I said as one of my maids finished sipping my dress. I walked over to my desk and grabbed my mask from behind Riku who was sitting in my chair. He was wearing a white shirt and bright red tie. He was wearing the same red dress pants and polished black dress shoes. His suit jacket was also that beautiful brite red, it was thrown over the back of the chair he was sitting on.
“I know princess, I told you I could do it.” He said waiting for me to put on my mask so he could see my outfit in full effect. I was also wearing red, it was rather fitting we both went in the hell direction for our own party. I was wearing a floor length gown with a super fluffy skirt, it had a strapless top that was sparkly but still red. My hair was up in whatever it is this woman did to my head, and I was wearing bright red stilettos. My mask was red with glitter and small feathered scents. I put it on and turned towards Riku to get his opinion.
“Well am I the hottest devil or what?” I asked as I did a little spin just to be dramatic. “No second hottest, have you seen me.” He said getting up putting his jacket back on.
“Yeah whatever.” I dialed back as we both went to exit my room. On our way to the dining room Riku put on his mask and we went to greet our guests. The turnout was quite surprising, I didn't think he'd be able to actually get it done but I was wrong. We made our rounds and stopped at the bar. “Did you notice that half the women here who are dressed like angels have had at least 3 affairs?” “I didn't even think about that.” I said with a shocked expression.
The fun thing about heaven and hell balls is when you get to see who picks heaven and who picks hell. “Did you see Madam K wearing red?” He said, handing me my drink. “NO! Really?” I asked, leaning on the bar scanning the room. “Yep.” “The most honest whore here.” I said laughing at the thought. “You know you're wearing red right?” “Yes but I kill people, not a whore.” I said I was proud of my virtuous lifestyle.
We did another lap and talked about business. We were about half way through the night when we retreated back to our table. Riku was sitting to my left and I was drowning my 4th martini waiting for dinner to be served. There were still business owners circulating the room when we decided to send around the first wave of foods.
We Were sitting at our table when a familiar face cut across the room. Lone behold it was Riku’s older brother Makoto. He and I have a rather unique past. He sat down at our table. “Little brother, Mrs.Emori.” He greeted us. “Hello Makoto.” I said kindly. “Hello brother.”Riku siad paying him no mind. “So what do you want?” Riku asked, finally making eye contact with him. “A brother can't just come and say hi?” He asked as if he didnt know what he was doing. “Not my brother, so I'll ask again what is it that you want?”
“Well if you must know I Was wondering if you wouldn't mind giving me an inner circle chair?” I almost laughed at his request. “Yeah not gonna happen, but nice try though.” Riku said as he laughed sitting back in his chair. “Oh well that's your opinion, however I think wifie here might be more inclined to hear me out. Isn't that right considering our past agreement.” He said looking over at me reaching his hand over in an attempt to grab mine. I pulled my hands off the table and looked over at him. “I'm not at liberty to grant nor deny that request at this time.” I said, I could see Riku angry and confused out of the corner of my eye.
“Well that's too bad considering how we were.” He left his hand on the table and he was looking at Riku when he spoke. “What are you talking about?” He asked firmly. “Oh you don't know? Well I guess it was when you weren't around.” “Stop this.” I said hoping he wouldn't say anymore. “Well it's not like you can run this company anyway, I'll get it right when they throw you out, and we'll see who you run too then. Just like you did last time.”
“If I may-” Riku interjected, trying to defend me. “You may not.” His brother said quickly, silencing him. “Well I’m gonna.” I said as I stood up waving for security before he could say anymore.
They grabbed the guy and his entourage and dragged them all out. “Thank you for coming but you've overstayed your welcome, don't feel free to come back.” I said with a hospitable smile and a nice wave. They were gone and Riku was a little shocked and probably mad.
I called over my assistant because I wasn't done just yet. “Liquidate all the properties we have that are run by Makoto and his extended allies.” My assistant wrote it down and went to get it. I sat back down and Riku was a little agitated. “Don't you think that's a little overkill?” He asked in a tone that was a bit chilling. “No.” I said blankly. “Unbelievable.” He scoffed and got up and walked out of the dining room.
