Now that Ace had beaten Orian at the game, a new world would be born. One forged from fire and blood. All the gods ended their pitiful wars between each other, in order to play Ace's game. Ace decreed that game would include all the gods, both major and minor, and all the mortals (Demons, Humans, Beastmen, and Giants) thus none were left out of the fun. But not all were too keen on playing the game. Many of the gods feared Ace, having beaten the King of the Gods he technically had the right to sit upon the throne of Yggdrasil and rule as he saw fit. But he did not.
Ace merely prepared and planned his Great Game carefully. He handled those who defied him and his plans, and made sure those who feared him never had the courage to go against him. Although he had no throne, nor crown, Ace stood tall amongst the gods like their king. From rock bottom to the highest in the room, with only a simple card game, Ace truly was one to be feared.
Ace called the gods Sponsors and the mortals contenders. It was designed as a sort of symbiotic relationship. The mortals would play out the challenges that Ace's power of games forced upon them, while the gods could aid whoever they deemed worthy of their help. In return, the contenders share belief in the god who aids them ensuring that the god is never forgotten.
And while both Gods and Mortals play Ace's game, he too is never forgotten, so long as the game shall live.
Hello to any readers who've been following my story. As you can see, I'm very indecisive. I'm still trying to workout how I want the story to flow so you may see me delete and edit some things. As for now please enjoy my epic fail and plotting and story management lol. :)
What happens when a human, a mage, a giant, a half-beastman, and an unknown mute girl band together to do who knows what? Who knows?! But the adventure is fun, the stakes are high, and the money is... well maybe the money isn't really "rolling in" but they do get by, sort of.
