Theo and I have been dating for going on five months now. Things have been going amazingly. He stays over at my house a lot. We have a lot of sex, and we decided we could take turns topping each other, which is pretty great. Back in May when we first started dating, he told me things got awkward between him and Jason, so that’s why he wants to spend more time with me now. For the past couple of months I’ve been strongly considering finally meeting Jason, but I don’t know how it will go. I just want Theo and Jason to be close again, because while I may dislike Jason, I don’t want Theo to lose his friend that he’s known his entire life.

Right now we were laying in bed together, face one another. I was wide awake, and Theo was slowly waking up, fighting every bit of it though. I smiled at him, and ran my fingers through his hair gently. Eventually he opened his eyes and smiled back at me, giving me a small peck on the lips, then stretching out his body.

“Good morning my beautiful.” I said to him.

“Good morning my handsome.” He retorted.

“Hey baby, so I’m thinking of having a costume party for my birthday this year. I plan to invite everyone from the office. Especially since it’ll be on a Saturday this year.” I loved that my birthday was on Halloween, because it’s definitely my favorite holiday.

“Um… yeah sure. I wont be able to stay the night though. I’ll have to head home before midnight.” That’s surprising. Of all the days he doesn’t want to stay the night, he chooses my birthday?

“I’m going to try not to be offended by that.” I stated plainly.

“Why would that offend you?” Seriously?! Is he being serious right now?!

“Because you spend literally all your free time with me these days, but you choose my birthday not to stay with me? That’s a bit hurtful to be honest.” A look of clarity crossed his face before he moved to pull my body into is arms. He kissed my forehead.

“I didn’t mean to make it sound like I don’t want to spend your birthday with you. I totally do, and I would give anything to give you some mind blowing birthday sex. And make you feel like the most important man in the world, because you are. But there’s really nothing I can do about this. It’s the only night a year I have to be home no matter what.” I know he was trying to make me feel better, but I’m definitely not okay with spending my first birthday as Theo’s boyfriend away from him. In fifteen years of our friendship, he has never once been able to stay and celebrate with me. But I didn’t want to start our day off in a bad mood, so I dropped it for now, but I’d bring it back up eventually. I had a few more days to change his mind.

“Let’s get up and start getting ready for work, yeah?” I said, trying to hint that this conversation was over for now. He seemed to get the hint, because he rolled out of bed with a loud groan and moseyed into the bathroom to start the shower.

At work, we went our separate ways. We did our best to keep our love life to ourselves when we were in front of our coworkers. In my opinion, what we do on our own time is nobody’s busy but ours. We did our work without bother one another until lunch. Theo’s in my office now, and we are enjoying our lunch together on the couch off to the side of my desk. Suddenly, Theo leaned into my personal space and put his lips to my ear.

“You know… I still have that fantasy about hot office sex.” He nibbled at my ear lobe.

“Fuck, Theo. I was trying to enjoy my lunch and you had to go and to that.” I gasped pulling away from him. He had a devious smirk playing at his lips.

“Is that a no then?” He chuckled lightly. I felt my face burn hot when he leaned into my space again.

“N-no. It’s not…” I said shyly.

“Oh John,” Theo gasped in shock, “that’s kind of surprising.” We both took an awkward minute to just stare at each other and gauge the other’s actions. It seemed like we didn’t know what to do next. Theo didn’t let that moment last long. Before I could even blink he was straddling my lap, with his arms around my neck. My hands found their natural resting place on his hips.

“You can’t change your mind now, Johnathan.” Theo said in a seductive, dominating voice. I smiled and fell into the roll he wanted me to take.

“Yes Sir.” He leaned down and kissed me roughly. His tongue swiped across my bottom lip, urging me to open my mouth to him. After the kiss deepened, Theo began grinding his hips against me, and pulling roughly at my hair, working to get me hard. Without breaking our kiss, I began unbuttoning his shirt. Once I had it off of him, I pulled my lips away from his and began kissing his jaw, down his neck, across his collar bone. As if asking me not to stop, he sat up on his knees, putting his chest at the right place for my to continue kissing down his chest from his collar. I paused at each nipple, licking and nipping at each just enough to get a small gasp of a moan out of Theo. I brought my hands to his belt and started to unbuckle it, when I suddenly remembered that the door to my office was not locked. I pulled away from Theo, about to ask him to go lock the door, when Hannah walked in without knocking. Catching us in an unfortunate situation.

“Hey, Mr. Wal… Oh my God… I am so sorry…” Her face was probably as red as it could possibly be. She quickly turned around and slammed the door shut behind her.

“Ah fuck.” Theo sighed, sitting back down on my lap. I dropped my forehead against his shoulder and let out a sigh of my own. “I guess my office sex fantasy won’t be coming true today.”

“Probably not. That was a mood killer.” I said, as Theo got off my lap.

“What are we going to do about her? She’s definitely going to tell somebody what she just walked in on.” Theo started to button up his shirt.

“Well we can acknowledge our relationship to the office, and apologize to her for our inappropriate behavior in the office.” I answered, using my business thinking mind. Theo seemed to agree with me, nodding his head.

“Alright, well… let’s go talk to her then.” He said as he finished straightening out his shirt.

We opened the door, and Hannah was waiting right outside my office. She made eye contact with each of us, then turned her bright red face towards the ground.

“Sir I’m really sorry I didn’t knock before coming in. I was definitely in the wrong here.” She said before Theo and I had a chance to say anything first.

“Hannah, would you like to come into my office so we can have a talk about what you just saw?” She nodded her head slowly, as if she weren’t sure she should say yes. We all moved into my office and sat around my desk.

“We would like to apologize to you, for not acting appropriately in the office. It was inconsiderate of us.” I started off the conversation.

“Oh, no! Please don’t apologize to me, it was my fault for not knocking. I walked into you’re personal office without even considering you might have company…” Her eyes flickered up towards Theo, then back to the ground.

“We don’t need to assign blame on anyone. There’s a lot of ‘could have’s’ that we could go over that would put any of us at blame for what you walked in on. We can just leave it at us apologizing to each other.” Theo said, surprising me with his level headed comment.

“Um, do you mind me asking how long that’s been going on? Like are you guys dating or…?” Hannah said, seemingly finding some confidence to look up finally.

“We are dating. We’ve been partners for nearly five months. Though we’ve been pretty good about keeping our love life separated from our work life.” I said pointedly, directing the comment towards Theo. He smirked at me.

“Sometimes, things happen. One thing leads to another, then suddenly you’re straddling your partners lap, shirtless, in a heated make out that feels like it could be leading to a more fun activity.” Theo said, brazenly. Both Hannah and I just stared at him, mouths hanging open. I’m not sure if Hannah saw his eyes, but I definitely did, and they were not his normal blue color. They were dark, and sparkly, almost like a galaxy.

“What the Hell, T?! That’s obviously not appropriate to say to her!” I nearly yelled. I don’t know why, but that comment really upset me. I tried to ignore his changing eyes.

“I think I’m going to get back to work now.” Hannah whispered shyly. She got up and headed towards the door.

“Hannah, can we trust you to keep this incident between the three of us? We won’t let it happen again.” I quickly asked before she was out of the office.

“Yes sir, I wouldn’t start gossip.” With that, she was out the door. I turned my eyes towards Theo, giving him an angry glare.

“What?” He laughed, causing me to feel even more annoyed.

“I don’t appreciate you making comments like that. That was uncalled for.”

“It’s not like she didn’t just see us in the act.” He retorted.

“THAT DOESN’T MATTER THEO. IT WAS INAPPROPRIATE!” My anger had finally gotten the better of me. Maybe it was because I felt like he was hiding something from me, because what I just saw in his eyes was definitely not normal.

“Whoa, calm down. There’s no need to get worked up about it.”

“The fact that you think that makes me even more annoyed. I think you should go back to work now.” He stared at me, dumbfounded.

“Seriously?”

“Yes, Theo, seriously.” I said coldly. I think starting my day off being told my partner can’t spend my birthday with me for whatever unknown reason he always had, and then this happening, my irritation was bound to explode at some point. I gave Theo one final nasty look, causing him to back away from me, then turned to my computer and began working.

“Wow. Okay, fine. I’ll let you cool off. I’ll see you at the end of the day then.”

“I think you should go to your home tonight. I need some time to myself.” I said without looking at him.

“Whatever John.” He huffed, then slammed my office door.

I finished my work by 4:30p.m., so I decided to just leave. I told Hannah I was going home, but nobody else. I hurried out of the office before I could be stopped by Theo, or anyone else. I made it to my car, and drove off as quickly as I could.

At home, I decided I could use a relaxing bath so I ran some hot water, and mixed in lavender bubble bath. I was able to relax for about thirty minutes, trying to forget the days events, then I was ready to call it a night, even without dinner. I was just ready for today to be over. I got myself ready for bed then laid down. I easily fell asleep in minutes
