“Was
it the height? You wou-”
he began before I cut him off.
“I know that. In
my head. But knowing something and experiencing it for the first
time are two entirely different things.” I told him.
“I
see.” He said before pausing. “Are
you a civilian then?”
“Yeah, I am. Why would
you think other wise?” I asked him.
“You
seemed to have some
experience in running a mission.” Samson replied as
he went back to having us cross the roof tops.
“Not
really…” I said while thinking. “Not unless I count all of the
video games I’ve played. I suppose those could count as mission
simulations.”
“Even
if these ‘video
games’ do not count as simulations, you still appear to be more
knowledge than I do for what needs to be done, Tomas.”
He told me. “Is
it safe to assume that you have never gone through any physical
combat training either?”
“Pretty
much. I all I know about fighting is that you’re supposed to either
hit, stab, or shoot someone until they stop hurting you, to duck and
cover when needed, and that the dangerous end of anything should only
pointed at something that you don’t mind damaging.” I replied as
he had us jump over a narrow alleyway.
“I
see. To be fair, I do know how to fight due to my design as a battle
suit A.I. but I have no real experience either.
. . Wait, I am detecting an android.” he said before
having us pause at the next alley.
“Where?” I
asked.
“There.”
He said before having us point at a dark mass in the alley.
“Really?” I said as it was too dark down there for me to
really make out any details.
“Do you want me to put
my face plate back on so I can help you see better?” He asked.
